The Bobcat Way (PBIS)
Our school uses Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) to create a fun, safe learning environment with clear expectations for all students school-wide. PBIS offers awards for good behaviors and interventions for students who need extra support to behave the “Bobcat Way.” The principles include - Listen, Participate, Respect and Appreciate.
Our School Rule is recited each morning. Be kind and respectful to yourself, others and your school. Listen, participate, respect and appreciate. Have a great day the Bobcat Way.
Other programs available for our students to participate in are:
- Student Council, Cultural Night, Choir, Safety Patrol, Cross Country, 100 Mile Club, Talent Show, Read-In, Gifted and Talented, Family Learning Night and Fitness Activities.
Banting also has an active PTO (Parent Teacher Organization). Many PTO members dedicate countless hours helping teachers in the classroom and preparing teaching materials. They also plan many fun events for students and families which raise funds for the school. Each year they raise approximately $15,000 providing money for field trips, classroom/playground equipment, and technology for the school.
