    NORTH ONLY SCHOLARSHIPS

    Waukesha North Booster Club Scholarship

    The Waukesha North Booster Club is proud to continue with its annual scholarship opportunity for college and technical school-bound student athletes. We are very pleased to announce the board will offer up to four (4) $750 scholarships. Applications can be obtained in the Activities Office, Student Services Office, or on the Booster Club section of the Waukesha North website. The awards will be presented at the Scholar Athlete Recognition Dinner in May. Purpose: Waukesha North Booster Club values effort and excellence. The scholarship committee seeks to recognize and award student athletes who have enriched their high school experience by participation in Northstar athletics while maintaining high academic achievement.

    Qualifications:

    • Cumulative 3.00+ GPA for the first 7 semesters

    • Must be attending post HS education in the fall

    • Parent(s) are members of the Booster Club

    • No Athletic Code Violations

    • Complete an essay question Essay Question (250 word minimum): Participating in sports encourages personal growth on many levels. Describe your most memorable experience in sports at WNHS and what you learned from that experience. Share how you will apply this to your near academic and future professional life.

    Waukesha MADE Scholarship - $500

    CRITERIA

    Any student in the senior class who has taken at least two classes in the Technology & Engineering Department and who plans on attending an institution of higher education (2-yr or 4-yr) in the fall of the year after graduation and has an overall grade point average of 2.5 is eligible to apply for the $500 scholarship.  The $500 will be paid directly to the institution of choice prior to the start of the fall semester.

    American Legion D. J. Martin Post #8 Americanism Award 

    Two (2) $200 scholarships will be given to one male and one female senior Waukesha North student. The young lady and young man must have high moral character, be active in school activities, maintain good grades and work toward improving the quality of life in the community.

    Lila Draper Burton Scholarship

    The Burton scholarship Trust Fund was established as a result of a bequest by Lila Burton, a Waukesha County resident, indicating her faith in the young people of Waukesha County and her belief in the value of an education. Consideration will be given to all scholarship applicants based upon: scholastic achievement, personality and character qualities, school citizenship, ACT or SAT scores and financial need (only if financial statement is completed). Open to all 4 year schools, however, more money will be given to those who plan on attending Carroll University. The number of scholarships awarded is dependent upon the income of the Trust Fund. Scholarship award will be $1,200-$1,800 per year for four years. Last year 19 scholarships were awarded.

    Wisconsin Automobile & Truck Scholarship

    These scholarships are for graduating seniors planning to attend school in an automotive, auto collision or a diesel technical program at a NATEF-certified Wisconsin technical college. There are four types of scholarships: automotive, diesel, auto collision and motorcycle.

    Scholarship amounts vary and may vary and may be valued up to full tuition.

    2020 Students of Integrity Scholarships

    BBB Serving Wisconsin awards scholarships to Wisconsin high school students who have demonstrated character, leadership and ethical values beyond their grades and test scores. Integrity is best seen in the decisions we make and how we make them. For this reason, our application scoring will largely focus on the students' submitted essays and their letters of recommendation.
    To be eligible for this award, the student must:
    Be a Wisconsin state resident
    Be a high school senior
    Have a 3.0 GPA or show academic improvement consistently over time
    Plan to attend a Wisconsin-based accredited Higher Education Institution (2 or 4 year)

    Ten students will receive a scholarship for $2,500

    The Delores Pemma Scholarship - $5000

    Each year, the Forest County Potawatomi Foundation awards $475,000 in scholarships to eligible Wisconsin residents seeking to further their education at an in-state institution. This year, two types of awards are available for incoming and outbound Wisconsin technical college students:

     The Delores Pemma Scholarship is a $5,000 award granted to incoming new students seeking to attend a technical school or college in Wisconsin. Recipients receive $2,500/year for two years, in addition to a $300 first-semester stipend. (Total award: $5,300)

    AFSCME Union Plus Scholarship

    Scholarships are limited to a son or daughter including foster children, step-children for whom the member (current or retired) supports more than 50%. Must be accepted into an accredited college, university, community college, technical college or trade school.

    Amount: $500 to $4,000 one-time cash award.

    I Have Dream Scholarship 2020

    Applicants must:

    Be legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia

    Be currently enrolled (or enroll no later than the fall of 2020) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education

    Submit an online short written response (250 words or less) for the question:

    “We want to know…what do you dream about? Whether it’s some bizarre dream you had last week, or your hopes for the future, share your dreams with us for a chance to win $1,500 for college.”

    Wisconsin Elks National Foundation- 

    There are several scholarships that are available. The applicant must apply online only. www.elks.org/enf/scholars.

    Legacy Awards

    For the 2018, contest, any child or grandchild (or step-child, step-grandchild, or legal ward) of a living Elk who joined the order on or before April 1, 2017, or a charter member of a Lodge that was instituted on or after April 1, 2017, is eligible to apply. The Elk must also be a paid-up member through March 31, 2020. Great-grandchildren are not eligible.

    Great Clips Scholarship

    Current students, high school students and anyone interested in cosmetology or barbering as a career can apply for an Alice Madden Barton scholarship through the Alice Madden Barton Scholarship program. These scholarships can be used at any cosmetology or barbering school. The scholarships are given out twice a year in January and July to applicants who can demonstrate a passion for the craft and dedication to developing their skills.

    Jackie Robinson Scholarship Foundation**NEW** 

    To apply, ALL scholarship applicants MUST:

    To be eligible for a Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship, an applicant must:

    • Be a graduating high school senior;

    • Plan to attend an accredited and approved four-year institution within the United States;

    • Show leadership potential;

    • Demonstrate a dedication to community service;

    • Present evidence of financial need;

    • Be a United States citizen;

    • Have a minimum SAT score of 1,000 combined on the math and critical reading sections or a composite ACT score of 21;

    • Not possess a degree from a 2 or 4–year College when applying for the scholarship.

    FFA National Scholarship Program 

    To apply, ALL scholarship applicants MUST:

    • Be a high school senior or currently enrolled in college

    • Be less than 23 years of age at the time of application (February 1)

    • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

      • Must have Social Security Number to claim scholarships

    • Plan to attend post-secondary school in the U.S.

    • Be a full-time student

      • Currently enrolled and actively attending classes

      • Minimum 12 credit hours if enrolled in a post-secondary institution

    Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation Scholarship

    Applicant must reside and attend high school in Waukesha County and be graduating in spring of 2020.  Must plan on pursuing an education toward a degree as a medical doctor or nurse at an accredited college or university in the state of Wisconsin.  Must be ranked in the upper half of your high school class.  Must show evidence of financial need. The amount of each scholarship is based on funds available.

    WEAC-Wisconsin Education Association Council

    The deadline for applying for the four WEAC Scholarships is February 1 every year (it used to be February 20). Scholarship winners will receive grants of $1,450 per year for four years of college or university study, if they remain eligible. Only high school seniors are eligible to apply, and only if a parent qualifies in one of these membership categories: an active WEAC member, an active retired member, or a parent who died while holding a WEAC membership. In addition, the student must rank in the top 25% of his or her class or have achieved a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (based on a non-weighted 4.0 scale) at the time of application, plan to pursue an education major or minor, and intend to teach in Wisconsin. The WEAC Scholarship was established to encourage children of WEAC members to enter the education field. Winners are chosen by a selection committee composed of five active members of WEAC affiliates, appointed by the president with the concurrence of the WEAC Board of Directors. The committee gives first priority consideration to four criteria: grade point average; an essay, not to exceed 300 words, written by the applicant; letters of recommendation; and school and community activities. The selection committee may consider other criteria, including financial need. Each year, one of the four scholarships is designated the Kathy Mann Memorial Scholarship and is awarded to a minority student. If no minority student applies or meets the criteria, a fourth WEAC scholarship is awarded instead.

    The Wisconsin Title I Association

    will be awarding up to four $1,500 scholarships to high school seniors from Wisconsin. A scholarship committee from the Association will choose the student recipients. The scholarship will be awarded to the recipients at the Wisconsin Title I Association's spring meeting.

    The scholarships are available to students to further their education by pursuing a two-year certificate or four year degree. Students who apply must have been in a Title I Program sometime during their Early Childhood through Grade 12 school career. Public as well as private school Title I students are eligible to apply.

    The Treasurer of the Wisconsin Title I Association will make scholarship payments directly to the school/college that the recipient will attend.

    APPLICANT MUST:

    • Be a graduate of an accredited high school and be a WI resident

    • Show a sincere desire and interest in furthering his/her education

    • Plan to attend an accredited university, college, or two-year technical college

    • Have been in a Title I Program between early childhood and grade 12

    Wisconsin Professional Police Association

    This association awards scholarships to Wisconsin students enrolling in a course of study leading to a degree in police science, criminal justice, or in a law enforcement related field-which does not include law school. Financial need is not a criterion for selection.

    McDonald's® HACER® National Scholarship

    Welcome and thank you for your interest in the McDonald's® HACER® National Scholarship Program! Answer the questions below to determine if you are eligible to apply.
    Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible to apply to any of the scholarships offered through this Program.
    **Must be a current high school senior who is eligible to attend a two- or four-year college, university or vocational/technical school.
    **Must be a legal U.S. resident.
    **Must be less than 21 years of age.

    Wisconsin FFA Foundation Scholarship

    The applicant must be a member in good standing of the Wisconsin Association of FFA 

    through membership in a recognized FFA chapter.  Must be at least a senior in high school or already enrolled in college and have maintained a satisfactory scholastic record in school. 

    The applicant must major in a program offered through an accredited university or 

    technical college with special consideration given to students with interests in 

    agriculture, unless specified by the sponsor.

    Davidson Institute Fellows Scholarship

    The Davidson Fellows scholarship awards $10,000, $25,000 and $50,000 scholarships to extraordinary young people under the age of 18 who completed a significant piece of work. Application categories are Math, Science, Literature, Music, Technology, Philosophy and Outside the Box. Davidson winners are honored every year in Washington D.C. with Congressional meetings and a special reception.     WACE National Co-op Scholarship Program

    To be eligible for the scholarship you MUST apply and be admitted to one of our seven NCCE Partner Institutions listed; Clarkson, Drexel University, Johnson & Wales University, Merrimack College, SUNY Oswego or University of Massachusetts Lowell * You must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 on 4.0 scale, complete all required admissions and be accepted for the 2019-2020 academic year at one of the above schools.  The WACE encourages minority and female students as well as students interested in science, mathematics, engineering and technology.

    Delta Theta Sigma Scholarships (UW-Madison)

    You DO NOT have to be a member or be affiliated with Delta Theta Sigma to win a scholarship. In addition, if you choose to live in their scholarship house, you are not required to join their organization. While some do choose to become members, others have not. These scholarships are open to male and female high school seniors who will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  ONE APPLICATION COVERS BOTH SCHOLARSHIPS.

    $1,000 In-House Resident Scholarship  Leadership positions, sports and activities, community involvement and academic achievement will be considered equally.  Applicants will be notified of results within two weeks of completing the application. 

    $500 Academic Scholarship Applicant will be notified before March 1st 2020 and will be required to attend an interview in September 2020. The recipient will be notified by October 1, 2020.

    Wisconsin Cattlemen and Cattlewomen Scholarship

    This scholarship is available to any high school senior enrolled in any university, technical college, community college in the U.S. including the University of Wisconsin-Madison Agricultural Short Course Program. Must have a background in the beef, veal or the dairy industry. Preference may be given to WCA/WCW member’s children, grandchildren and WCA/WCW junior members.     Simon Youth Scholarship

    To be eligible, applicants must: Be a high school senior attending school and living in a Simon® community, Be a legal U.S. resident, Plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational/technical school in Fall 2019, Demonstrate academic promise and financial need, Applicants will be evaluated based on academic promise, financial need, essay response, letter of recommendation, work experience and community/extracurricular involvement, Scholarships in the amount of $1,500, one at each Simon® center, will be awarded annually and are not renewable.

    The Live Más Scholarship presented by the Taco Bell Foundation

    Requirements:

    You must be a legal resident of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, at least 16 years of age and no older than 24 years of age, located in the United States or D.C. and on track to apply for or currently enrolled in an accredited post-high school/post-secondary educational programs located in the United States or D.C. (including accredited two-and four-year colleges, universities, vocational-technical and trade schools).
    You’ll have to identify the specific secondary education program, college or certificate/degree option you want to get into, or for which you which you need funds. You may be looking to enroll or already enrolled in this secondary educational program.
    If you are a minor, you’ll need written consent from a parent or legal guardian to participate.

    Each year three $1,500 continuing education scholarships are awarded to members who are high school seniors or college students. To apply:
    Complete all areas of the scholarship application including membership eligibility and essay questions. Attach a grade report/transcript for the December 2019 semester, showing cumulative GPA noted on a 4.0 scale or indication of equivalent.

    Wisconsin Security Association Scholarship

    The Wisconsin Security Association (WISA), is pleased to announce the availability of two college scholarships for graduating seniors whose parents are full-time, active members of a Wisconsin police or fire department. One $1,500 Youth Scholarship will be awarded to a son/daughter of an active-duty police department member and one to a son/daughter of an active-duty fire department member. Since 2010 WISA has awarded $28,000 in scholarships.

    The Classroom to Classroom Scholarship

    Education.com is on a mission to make an impact in the lives of aspiring teachers in America. Once a year, Education.com awards a graduating high school student with a $5,000 scholarship to further their educational goals. To apply, students must meet the following eligibility requirements:

    • Must be a United States citizen or Permanent Resident.

    • Open to students from all states.
