ACT, SAT, and College Placement Testing

  • For all students who plan to attend a technical college, two year, or four year college, the ACT is the common entrance exam. For those students who will attend a technical college, like WCTC, the ACT is not mandatory. Those students can use the ACT score to possibly by-pass taking the COMPASS test at WCTC. As for whether or not a student needs to take the SAT, that depends on the admission requirements for each school. Please check all college websites carefully for entrance requirements.
