MAP Assessment: www.nwea.org
During the 2009 - 2010 school year the School District of Waukesha embarked on an exciting journey in the use of MAP assessments. MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) is an online assessment in reading and math that teachers and other professionals use to determine your child’s instructional levels, academic growth and other information that can help to improve teaching and learning.
This assessment will be administered in the Fall, Winter and Spring of each school year to measure the academic level of our freshmen and select sophomore/junior students so teachers can continue to individualize instruction for students throughout the remainder of the school year.
This test is also one key piece of information utilized in determining student needs in regards to being assigned to Academic Options. See more detailed information about Academic Options by accessing our school’s website, clicking the Academics tab and looking under the Academics/RTI heading.
