Child Labor Law

  • 2017 Wisconsin Act 11 was signed by Governor Walker and published June 22, 2017. The effective date of this law is June 23, 2017. The law removes the requirement that 16- and 17-year-old minors obtain work permits. This law also changes the terminology and refers to the "employment of minors" instead of child labor.

Work permits may be obtained in the Student Services Office.  Print and fill out the document along with the required documents listed on the bottom of this form. You can by clicking here. You will drop off all items first thing in the morning and return at the end of the school day to sign your documents. For questions, please contact Miss Schlimgen at aschlimgen@waukesha.k12.wi.us or Mrs. Blackburn at mblackbu@waukesha.k12.wi.us in the Student Services Office.
