ACT/WORK KEYS TESTING FOR ALL JUNIOR GRADE STUDENTS
The state of Wisconsin is requiring ALL 11th grade students to take the ACT plus writing test. The ACT is a national college admissions examination that consists of multiple choice questions in the subject areas of English, Mathematics, Reading and Science. Students will also be taking the 30 minute writing test. Students will be allowed to send their results to post-secondary institutions. This test will take place on Tuesday, March 3rd. On March 4th all juniors will take the ACT WorkKeys test. WorkKeys stresses skill development important for every type of employment. It measures skills such as reading for information, applied mathematics, locating information and teamwork- skills that employers feel are critical to job success. If students are absent on the 3rd and 4th they will then be testing on March 17th and 18th. There is NO cost to the students to take these tests. There will be more information regarding the logistics for this testing in mid- February.
