    Minimum qualifications for WRA Education Foundation scholarships are:

    • Be a Wisconsin resident.
    • Pursuing post-secondary education in fields related to the restaurant and hospitality industries, such as Culinary, Baking, Hospitality, Food Science and Family and Consumer Science Education.
    • Accepted at a nationally accredited, post-secondary school, enrolled with a minimum of 6 credits for the 2020/21 academic year.

Citizens Bank - Warren E. Hansen, Sr. Memorial Scholarship

    Citizens Bank is pleased to present the Warren E. Hansen, Sr Memorial Scholarship which provides 6 annual awards of $1,000 to eligible high school seniors attending school within the area Citizens Bank serves. Scholastic Fund for Students of Hispanic Descent Scholarship

  • Description:

    The SFSHD scholarship program is open to young men or women of Hispanic descent who are current high school seniors of the City of Waukesha, Wisconsin, who desire to undertake post-secondary education.

    Please review the rules and regulations to be certain you meet all qualification requirements. If you meet the requirements, please complete and submit your application for consideration.

    Rules and Regulations

    1. Applicant must be of Latin blood quantum, no matter the amount.
    2. Applicant must be a graduating senior of the City of Waukesha.
    3. Application must be completed in its entirety. Any in-completion shall result in a null and void application.
    4. Applicant must attend an accredited college or vocational institution within the 50 United States.
    5. Deadline is listed on the application of the current year. Applications received past this date will not be considered. Applications can be mailed in hard copy form or emailed along with 2 letters of recommendation and 2 essays.
    6. Undecided or Change of intended education: If at the time of application deadline, the applicant is still undecided as to their future educational institution, or has chosen to attend a different school than that stated on the application; it is the responsibility of the applicant to notify the Scholastic Fund for Students of Hispanic Descent no later than August 1st of the current year. Failure to notify will result in loss of consideration.
    7. Notification of the scholarship will take place during the applicant’s high school honors/awards  ceremony. However, all moneys will be sent directly to the admissions office of the designated school, no recipient will receive moneys directly.

William A. Baumgart "Excellence in Education" Scholarship 2020

  • SELECTION CRITERIA - All applicants must:

    (1)   Have completed (or be currently enrolled in) Waukesha County Technical College Transcripted Credit or Youth Options course – having earned a grade of “C” or better.

    (2)   Be on-track to graduate from a School District of Waukesha high school during the 2019/2020 school year, with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher.

    (3)   Submit a completed scholarship application by the due date (April 15, 2020).

    o   Application must include TWO Recommendation Forms (Forms Attached).

Ted Kanavas Memorial Scholarship

    Essay Question: Describe the value of public service and what public service means to you.

    Please describe your community service. Please share a list of organizations, activities, clubs, etc. that you have been involved with- present or past.

Waukesha County Labor Council Scholarship

  • Description:

    AWARDS COMPETITION IN HONOR OF BROTHER GEORGE URBAN

    The Waukesha County Labor Council is awarding two $500.00 scholarships for use in any accredited college, university, or business college approved by the selection committee. 

    Eligibility Requirements:  

    1. Scholarships are limited to members of families who belong to a local union affiliated with the Waukesha County Labor Council AFL-CIO. 
    2. Eligible is any student who is a senior in any High School graduating between January 1st and July 1st. whose parent or guardian is a member of a local union affiliated with the Waukesha County Labor Council AFL-CIO. 
    3. The applicant must rank in the upper ½ of their graduating class. 
    4. The scholarship is completely unrestricted as to sex, race, religion or political affiliation. 
    5. Criteria used to determine the winner of this scholarship will be based on academic excellence and need. 
    6. All applicants must take either the SAT or ACT test to qualify. The fee required for the administration of the tests must be borne by the applicant. 
    7. The selection committee, whose decision will be final, will decide all matters pertaining to this contest. No correspondence in relation to this competition can be undertaken. The winners will be notified of the award and will be expected to accept the award during the announcement at the May Labor Council meeting held on the 4th Tuesday of the month. 
    8. Applications are available through the high school counselor, affiliated Local Unions or from the Waukesha County Labor Council Secretary. 
    9. Completed applications must be forwarded to the Labor Council Secretary and be at the office no later than 3:00 pm on the Monday preceding the 4th Wednesday of the month of April. 
    10. The winners of the scholarships will be awarded a check upon presenting evidence of enrollment at an accredited college, university, or business school approved by the selection committee.

Metro Swimming Officials Association Memorial Scholarship

  • Description:

    This scholarship was created to honor the memory of those individuals who contributed to swimming in our area. Awards are available to any senior boy or girl swimmer who plans to continue formal education or vocational training after high school graduation. Award will be given to one girl and one boy. Please note that if you receive any athletic scholarship related to the sport of swimming, you are not eligible and should not apply.

Marilyn Largent Memorial Scholarship

  • Description:

    A. Applicant (male or female) must be a resident of the area served by Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital.

    B. Applicant MUST BE enrolled in a medical field utilized by Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital. The Applicant must be formally accepted into the medical field  Although general education courses taken early in college experience will lead to a medical program acceptance, formal application and acceptance to the medical program must be completed before a scholarship can be awarded by the OMH Auxiliary.

    C. Applicant has been accepted as a student in a college or university in the State of Wisconsin.

    D. Applicant has maintained at least a 2.75 grade point average in high school and/or college.

    E. Applicant must show evidence of financial need.

    F. Only complete applications will be considered.

     

    Scholarship Awards:

    A. Full time students carrying a minimum of 12 credits at $2,000 per year ($1,000 per semester.)

    B. Part time students carrying a minimum of 6 credits at $1,000 per year ($500 per semester).

    C. Renewal 

    • Scholarships are granted for a single academic year; however, recipients may apply for succeeding years (up to 4 years).
    • Students must maintain a grade point average of 2.75 or above.
    • Students must send an Authorized record of current grades to the Scholarship Committee at the end of each semester (December and May), along with an official copy of registration for the next semster (with course names and credits). Both must be recieved before payment is made.

    To qualify ALL of the following MUST be included:

    A. Two letters of recommendation from responsible citizens (i.e.-Teacher, Counselor, Employer, Volunteer/Community Leader).

    B. A transcript of high school grades and/or any advanced courses.

    C. An official copy of registration from the school you will be attending.

    D. A short description of your intended major and why you have chosen it.

    E. A copy of financial need (i.e. Federal Tax Form or Financial Aid Form)

    F. A press release regarding our Scholarship Recipients will be submitted to local publications.

STEM Forward Scholarship

  • Description:

    STEM Forward will award one deserving, high school senior a $2,000 scholarship to pursue a program in science, technology, engineering and/or math (STEM) at a two- or four-year Wisconsin technical college or university. 

    To be eligible for STEM Forward’s scholarship, the applicant must meet the following criteria:

    *Be a graduating high school senior, residing in the Milwaukee 7. (Milwaukee, Waukesha, Ozaukee, Washington, Racine, Kenosha or Walworth counties)

    *Have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

    *Attend a Wisconsin two-year or four-year technical college or university in the fall of 2019, and pursue a STEM program.

    *The applicant’s school and/or school district must participate in at least one STEM Forward program in the past two years (See list below), or the applicant personally participated in at least one STEM Forward program in the past. This includes STEM Forward’s WI Regional Future City Competition, Rube Goldberg Machine Contest and Day of STEMprogram.

Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Medical Scholarship

  • Applicant (male/female) must be a resident of the area served by Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital.  Must be enrolled in a medical field utilized by OMH (i.e. Nursing, Medical School, Pharmacy School or Physical Therapy, etc.)  Must be accepted to a college or university in the State of Wisconsin, have a GPA of at least 2.75 and show financial need. Student will need 2 letters of recommendation, transcript, small essay, acceptance letter and recent non-returnable photo.  See application for all details.

Waukesha Citizens Police Academy Alumni Scholarship (WCPAAA)

  • Description:

    WCPAA offers this scholarship in memory of Officer Michael Inzeo  students pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice, Political Science, or a related area of study.
