Hispanic Heritage Foundation Youth Awards Program

  • Description:

    The Youth Awards was founded in 1998 by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation. Now entering its 22nd year, the Youth Awards honors Latino high school seniors who excel in the classroom and community and for their excellence in various categories including: Business & Finances, Entrepreneurship, Education, Healthcare & Science, Media & Entertainment, Sports and Technology.

    Gold, Silver and Bronze recipients are selected in each category and receive a one-time grant to fund their college education or to fund a community service effort that tackles a social issue.

    Once selected, recipients will be celebrated in 10 virtual ceremonies and will become part of our broader HHF network of 200,000 professionals and fulfill our unique cycle of leadership where we meet America's priorities in the classroom and workforce.

    The Youth Awards program is the main pipeline to Hispanic Heritage Foundation's (HHF) system of talent that prepares and positions Latino youth through the award-winning Latinos On Fast Track (LOFT) program as they transition from high school, to college, to graduate school, and into their careers.

     

    To participate in the Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards you must be:

    • A high school student graduating in the spring of 2021
    • Musst enroll at an accredited higher education institution in 2020-2021
    • Identify as Hispanic heritage (includes Spain, Brazil, Philippines)
    • Minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
    • Attend regional ceremony in your region. Attendance is mandatory and HHF will not cover any cost of attending
    • Be a US Citizen/Permanent Resident/ qualify under DACA

AES Engineering Scholarship

  • Description/Criteria:

    Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by an evaluation of the essays that are submitted.  

    Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility.

    You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible.

    How to Apply:

    Students must submit an essay of between 500 and 1000 words in answer to the following question:

    When you look back on your life in 30 years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful? What relationships or accomplishments will be important on this journey?

American Muscle Student Scholarship

  • Description: 

    We are offering 2 currently enrolled students or high school seniors who are pursuing post-secondary education an opportunity to be awarded $2,500 in tuition assistance towards their upcoming semester! This scholarship is ongoing and will be available for both the spring and fall semesters each year.

    Those students who have exceptional drive and ambition should submit a 700-1500 word essay to scholarships@americanmuscle.com telling us who you are and how you plan on using your automotive education to incite positive change and innovation within the custom car industry. All entries must be submitted as a PDF or Microsoft Word document to be eligible for consideration and must also be accompanied by proof of current enrollment in an accredited United States college or university.

Make the U Scholarship

  • Description: 

    • Be currently enrolled in high school and graduating in the spring of 2021
    • Must have a minimum unweighted 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale or 7.5 on a 10.0 scale
    • Must enroll at an accredited higher education institution in fall 2021
    • Be of Hispanic or latino descent 
    • Be a U.S. permanent resident, U.S. citizen, or qualify under the DACA

LendEDU Scholarship

    The LendEDU Scholarship is available for high school seniors and current college students.

Horatio Alger National and State Scholarship

  • Description:

    State scholarships are awarded to eligible students in all fifty states and the District of Columbia. The program specifically assists high school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives. The scholarships are funded by Horatio Alger Members who, like the Scholars, have experienced challenges but ultimately overcame them to become successful business and civic leaders. 

    To be eligible to apply for a Horatio Alger State Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria*:

    • Be enrolled full time as a high school senior in the United States; be progressing normally toward graduation in spring/summer of 2021 with plans to enter a college in the United States no later than the fall following graduation
    • Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at an accredited non-profit public or private institution in the United States (students may start their studies at a two-year institution and then transfer to a four-year institution)
    • Demonstrate critical financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income is required)
    • Be involved in co-curricular and community service activities
    • Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity
    • Maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0; and
    • Be a United States citizen

Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation

  • Description:

    The Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to graduating high school seniors. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, as well as their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities. With the 31st class in 2019, the Foundation has provided over 6,150 Coca-Cola Scholars with more than $69 million in educational support. 150 Coca-Cola Scholars are selected each year to receive this $20,000 scholarship. The application is open! Students who will be graduating in the 2019-2020 academic school year may apply.
     
     
    Eligibility Requirements:
     
    Applicants must be:
    • Current high school (or home-schooled) students attending a school in the U.S. (or select DoD schools) who will graduate during the 2020-2021 academic school year
    • U.S. Citizens, (not a Temoorary Resident), U.S. Nationals, U.S. Permanent Residents, Refugees, Asylees, Cuban-Haitian Entrants, or Humanitarian Parolees - based on the guidelines utilized by U.S. Department of Education for Federal Financial Aid eligibility
    • Will receive high school diploma during current academic year
    • Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution
     
    Applicants may not be:
    • Children or grandchildren of employees, officers, or owners of Coca-Cola bottling companies, The Coca-Cola Company, Company divisions or subsidiaries.
    • International students (with the exception of students at DoD schools)
