  • Description:

    • Applicant must have a cumulative 3.5 high school GPA through January 1, 2020 (An official transcript must be included with the application)
    • Lettered in one or more Varsity sport(s)
    • Participated in school activities 
    • Active in church, above and beyond weekly church attendance.  Students MUST be members of a Christian congregation.
    • Must have a letter of recommendation from a teacher or a coach and the pastor of the church from which you attend.

Phi Delta Kappa Prospective Educator Scholarships

  • Description: 

    High school seniors and current undergraduates who are pursuing careers in teaching are eligible for Prospective Educator Scholarships. Applicants must be connected to the PDK family of associations through membership in Educators Rising, PDK International, and/or Pi Lambda Theta.

    Eligibility Requirements:

    • Must be an undergraduate student
    • Must attend a university or a four-year college
    • Both full-time and part-time students
    • Restricted to students studying Education
    • Must be affiliated with Phi Delta Kappa International

Stowell Family Scholarship- SOUTH

  • Description:

    The Stowell Family Scholarship is a multi-year scholarship of up to $10,000. This $10,000 scholarship is meant to be for a student who needs financial encouragement to pursue their baccalaureate degree.  This scholarship is available for a student who demonstrates the highest economic need, who positively represents the school and community, and who can demonstrate having maximized their effort throughout high school.  

    The scholarship will be renewable for four years in the following increments:

    Year 1:  $1,000
    Year 2:  $2,000
    Year 3:  $3,000
    Year 4:  $4,000

    Students must maintain a 3.0 grade point average in college in order to receive the funds. Gap years or skipped semesters will not be permitted. Failure to maintain GPA or having any gaps in enrollment will result in forfeiture of remaining unpaid scholarship dollars. Due to GPA requirement, first scholarship payment will be available for the second semester of first year of college.

Citizens Bank - Warren E. Hansen, Sr. Memorial Scholarship

  • Description:

    Citizens Bank is pleased to present the Warren E. Hansen, Sr Memorial Scholarship which provides 6 annual awards of $1,000 to eligible high school seniors attending school within the area Citizens Bank serves. To qualify for consideration of a scholarship award, students must demonstrate academic excellence, perform community service, and intend to pursue a career in business and/or finance.

Kay Battista Scholarship

  • Description:

    1. Be a high school senior, a college undergraduate, a college graduate student seeking a first teaching certificate, or a college graduate seeking a graduate level degree in education.
    2. Have the equivalent of a C or better grade point average in the most recent school you attended (high school or college).
    3. Be endorsed by an active NNSTOY member. Ms. Sarahi Monterrey would be the endorser for North students. 
    4. Provide three (3) letters of recommendation.
    5. Meet the deadline for applying.

Ted Kanavas Memorial Scholarship

    Please describe your community service. Please share a list of organizations, activities, clubs, etc. that you have been involved with- present or past.

    Please submit at least two letters of recommendation from faculty/staff members from your school or community organizations.

Metro Swimming Officials Association Memorial Scholarship

  • Description:

    This scholarship was created to honor the memory of those individuals who contributed to swimming in our area. Awards are available to any senior boy or girl swimmer who plans to continue formal education or vocational training after high school graduation. Award will be given to one girl and one boy. Please note that if you receive any athletic scholarship related to the sport of swimming, you are not eligible and should not apply.

    The Student-View Scholarship is a unique opportunity for high school seniors. It is open to all students regardless of academic achievement or financial need.

Dream Pool Foundation-Carrie Crystal Stuckert Memorial Art Scholarship

  • Description:

    The family of Carrie Stuckert has created the Dream Pool Foundation, a non-profit organization providing assistance to individuals pursuing education in the visual arts. Currently Dream Pool is offering six (6) scholarship opportunities.

    Interested candidates must possess extra-curricular accomplishments and inspirational goals. Academically capable students must be enrolled as an Art Major at an accredited institution of higher education in the U.S. (This includes Art Therapy Programs). All applicants must be U.S. citizens. Recipient will be required to provide evidence of college acceptance before money is awarded.
