NAACP (Hubertus W.V. Willems Scholarship)

  • Description: 

    The Hubertus W.V. Willems Scholarship for Male Students is awarded annually to a male, US citizen who attends an accredited institution in the United States and is majoring in one of the following fields: Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematical Sciences.

    Are you Eligible?:

    1. Be a male majoring in one of the following fields:  Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematical Sciences.
    2. Be a US citizen.
    3. Be currently enrolled or accepted to an accredited college (excluding proprietary schools) in the United States.
    4. NAACP membership and participation is highly desirable.
    5. Must demonstrate financial need based on the federal poverty guidelines.

    Graduating High School Seniors and Undergraduate Students

    1. Must be full-time student.
    2. Must possess a grade point average of 2.5 (C+) on a 4.0 system.

B. Davis Scholarship

  • Description:

    This Scholarship is available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any post secondary institution.

    • There is no age restriction
    • Be sure to include your name and the school you are attending this year and next
    • This is not an academic scholarship but we would like to know where you are going to school now and what your future academic plans are.

    Please do not send transcripts or letters of recommendation at this time.

    Application Procedure: To apply for this scholarship you will need to write an essay of less than 1000 words on the following topic - Describe the three characteristics of leadership you value most.  Discuss why you believe that these traits are so important and how you feel that they are developed in an individual.

Caitlin Brondolo Charitable Foundation Golf Scholarship

  • Description: 

    A charitable foundation has been established to honor the memory of Caitlin Brondolo, a competitive golfer, who lost her life at the age of 12 to carbon monoxide poisoning.  The objective of this national scholarship is to award a female high school senior who has played golf during high school and is pursuing a college education in the United States.  This individual would also be playing competitive collegiate golf.  Applicants must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and must have played a minimum of two years on a high school golf team. Must include a transcript, an essay and 3 letters of recommendation. Award will be 1 @ $2,500.

LM Scholarship Program

  • Description:

    To be considered eligible for this scholarship the student must be currently enrolled or expects to be enrolled in a degree program (2 years of length or greater) by September. Additionally, must have a GPA or 3.0 or higher and submit an answer to the essay question prior to the submission deadline.

The Department of Children and Families (DCF) Scholarship Program
