Divine Redeemer Christian-Athlete Scholarship Foundation

    Mission Statement: "To encourage and reward high school graduates in Waukesha County who have excelled in athletics, academics, and Christian service in their churches and communities."

    For the past thirty one years, Divine Redeemer’s Christian Scholarship Foundation has been proud to award Christian scholarships to high school seniors that will graduate from a Waukesha County high school. We are pleased to announce that we will award five scholarships this year. A $4,000 scholarship will be awarded to a deserving Christian male athlete and one to a deserving Christian female athlete. The Garrett Becker Scholarship will be given to an applicant who has overcome a significant obstacle in their life or if the applicant intends to work in the health care field. The Jean Pordon Memorial Scholarship for $10,000 will be awarded to the candidate who will enter the music or education field. The $11,000 Douglas Baker Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a student for their Christian leadership. The scholarships are to be used to pursue higher education. 

    • Applicant must have a cumulative 3.5 high school GPA through January 1, 2022 (An official transcript must be included with the application)
    • Lettered in one or more Varsity sport(s)
    • Participated in school activities 
    • Active in church, above and beyond weekly church attendance.  Students MUST be members of a Christian congregation.
    • Must have a letter of recommendation from a teacher or a coach and the pastor of the church from which you attend.

Marilyn Largent Memorial Scholarship

  • Description:

    A. Applicant (male or female) must be a resident of the area served by Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital.
    B. Applicant MUST BE enrolled in a medical field utilized by Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital. The Applicant must be formally accepted into the medical field  Although general education courses taken early in college experience will lead to a medical program acceptance, formal application and acceptance to the medical program must be completed before a scholarship can be awarded by the OMH Auxiliary.
    C. Applicant has been accepted as a student in a college or university in the State of Wisconsin.
    D. Applicant has maintained at least a 2.75 grade point average in high school and/or college.
    E. Applicant must show evidence of financial need.
    F. Only complete applications will be considered.

    Scholarship Awards:

    A. Full time students carrying a minimum of 12 credits at $2,000 per year ($1,000 per semester.)
    B. Part time students carrying a minimum of 6 credits at $1,000 per year ($500 per semester).
    C. Renewal 

    • Scholarships are granted for a single academic year; however, recipients may apply for succeeding years (up to 4 years).
    • Students must maintain a grade point average of 2.75 or above.
    • Students must send an Authorized record of current grades to the Scholarship Committee at the end of each semester (December and May), along with an official copy of registration for the next semster (with course names and credits). Both must be recieved before payment is made.

    To qualify ALL of the following MUST be included:

    A. Two letters of recommendation from responsible citizens (i.e.-Teacher, Counselor, Employer, Volunteer/Community Leader).
    B. A transcript of high school grades and/or any advanced courses.
    C. An official copy of registration from the school you will be attending.
    D. A short description of your intended major and why you have chosen it.
    E. A copy of financial need (i.e. Federal Tax Form or Financial Aid Form)
    F. A press release regarding our Scholarship Recipients will be submitted to local publications.

Citizens Bank - Warren E. Hansen, Sr. Memorial Scholarship

  • Description:

    Citizens Bank is pleased to provide six annual awards of $1,000 to eligible high school seniors attending school within the area Citizens Bank serves. To qualify for consideration of a scholarship award, students must demonstrate academic excellence, perform community service, and intend to pursue a career in business and/or finance.

Waukesha Citizens Police Academy Alumni Scholarship (WCPAAA)

  • Description:

    $1000 scholarship for students pursuing a career in Criminal Justice or Police Science. Additional requirements: A one page essay, extracurricular activities, honors, awards won, and community service. Also need a high school transcript and two letters of recommendation. William A Baumgart "Excellence in Education" Scholarship

  • Description: 

    1. Have completed (or be currently enrolled in) Waukesha County Technical College Transcripted Credit, Dual Enrollment Academy or Start College Now course- having earned a grade of "C" or better.
    2. Be on-track to graduate from a School District of Waukesha high school during the 2021/2022 school year, with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
    3. Submit a completed scholarship application by the due date (April 13, 2022).

    4. Apply for admission to and attend Waukesha County Technical College for the Fall 2022 semester.
    5. Scholarship recipient is required to submit a thank you letter to scholarship sponsor before funding is released.

Pewaukee Area Arts Council Scholarship

  • Description:

    The Pewaukee Area Arts Council (PAAC) offers $500 scholarships to high school seniors in the arts (visual, performing, literary, music, multidisciplinary). To be eligible for a $500 scholarship, applicants must complete the application form in its entirety. 

    PAAC will select scholarship recipients on the basis of quality and creativity of art, potential to benefit from further education, artist’s statement and financial need (where applicable). The committee may also use GPA, recognitions and community service to select recipients.

Margaret Farrow Scholarship Fund

  • Description: 

    We are pleased to share that the Margaret Farrow Scholarship Fund, established in 2021 through the Waukesha County Community Foundation (WCCF), will be awarding a scholarship of $1,000.00 to a four-year college-bound graduating senior of a Waukesha County High School.

    The selection committee, will choose a student who has a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, and pursuing a degree related to journalism, communication studies, civics or political science. The recipient should be accepted to an accredited four-year college or university, and a Waukesha County resident. Special consideration will be given to academic achievement, financial need, community service, and the applicant’s extra-curricular activities.

Knights of Waukesha Scholarship

  • Description: 

    The Knights of Waukesha was founded in 2010 by five former Waukesha high school students.

    These life-long friends recognized how privileged they were and how important Waukesha was to their growth. In an effort to give back to the city that helped mold their youth, the Knights of Waukesha Scholarship was created.

    Every year, the five friends choose the most worthy candidate for the one-time, $500 scholarship. The scholarship has evolved over the years. Instead of merely being a scholarship given to the most academically accomplished student, the Knights of Waukesha weigh many different factors, in search of a diamond in the rough.

    The recipient of the Knights of Waukesha should demonstrate traits of humility, passion, perseverance, strength, and kindness.

ProHealth Care and Diversity Scholarship

  • Description:

    ProHealth Care has established a scholarship program to assist students who plan to continue education in college or vocational school programs. Funding for these scholarships is provided by the medical staffs at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital and Waukesha Memorial Hospital Volunteer Services. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study in an eligible field, at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

    This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. 


    • High school seniors or graduates of any Waukesha County (WI) high school; OR current employees of ProHealth Care; OR current Waukesha County (WI) residents.
    • Planning to enroll or are already enrolled in full-time undergraduate course of study in an eligible* field at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year

    Students pursuing a pre-medical degree are not eligible for this program.

Scholastic Fund for Students of Hispanic Descent Scholarship

  • Description:

    This scholarship is open to young men or women of Hispanic descent. Must be a current high school senior within the city of Waukesha and have a desire to attend a university or technical college. Several scholarships will be awarded each year.

    Requirements: Application must include:
    2 letters of reference from either a guidance counselor, teacher, employer, supervisor or clergy member, GPA, Signature of counselor (or counselor’s secretary)

Ted Kanavas Memorial Scholarship

  • Description:

    Essay Question: Describe the value of public service and what public service means to you. Please describe your community service. Please share a list of organizations, activities, clubs, etc. that you have been involved with- present or past. Please submit at least two letters of recommendation from faculty/staff members from your school or community organizations. Please submit a copy of your high school transcript. (An unofficial version is acceptable.)

Dream Pool Foundation-Carrie Crystal Stuckert Memorial Art Scholarship

  • Description:

    The family of Carrie Stuckert has created the Dream Pool Foundation, a non-profit organization providing assistance to individuals pursuing education in the visual arts. Currently, Dream Pool is offering five (5) scholarship opportunities.

    Interested candidates must possess extra-curricular accomplishments and inspirational goals. Academically capable students must be enrolled as an Art Major at an accredited institution of higher education in the U.S. (This includes Art Therapy Programs). All applicants must be U.S. citizens. Recipient will be required to provide evidence of college acceptance before money is awarded.

STEM Forward Scholarship

  • Description:

    STEM Forward will award one deserving, high school senior a $2,500 scholarship to pursue a program in science, technology, engineering and/or math (STEM) at a two- or four-year Wisconsin technical college or university. 

    To be eligible for STEM Forward’s scholarship, the applicant MUST meet the following criteria:

    *Be a graduating high school senior, residing in the Milwaukee 7. (Milwaukee, Waukesha, Ozaukee, Washington, Racine, Kenosha or Walworth counties)

    *Have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

    *Attend a Wisconsin two-year or four-year technical college or university in the fall of 2020, and pursue a STEM program.

    *The applicant’s school and/or school district must participate in at least one STEM Forward program (Ex: Future City Competition, Day of Engineering, Rube Goldberg Machine Contest) in the past two years OR the applicant personally participated in at least one STEM Forward program in the past. 

    * You cannot be a child of a STEM Forward board member and/or staff member.

Metro Swimming Officials Association Memorial Scholarship

  • Description:

    This scholarship was created to honor the memory of those individuals who contributed to swimming in our area. Awards are available to any senior boy or girl swimmer who plans to continue formal education or vocational training after high school graduation. Award will be given to one girl and one boy. Please note that if you receive any athletic scholarship related to the sport of swimming, you are not eligible and should not apply.

Waukesha County Labor Council Scholarship

  • Description:


    The Waukesha County Labor Council is awarding two $500.00 scholarships for use in any accredited college, university, or business college approved by the selection committee. 

    Eligibility Requirements:  

    1. Scholarships are limited to members of families who belong to a local union affiliated with the Waukesha County Labor Council AFL-CIO. 
    2. Eligible is any student who is a senior in any High School graduating between January 1st and July 1st. whose parent or guardian is a member of a local union affiliated with the Waukesha County Labor Council AFL-CIO. 
    3. The applicant must rank in the upper ½ of their graduating class. 
    4. The scholarship is completely unrestricted as to sex, race, religion or political affiliation. 
    5. Criteria used to determine the winner of this scholarship will be based on academic excellence and need. 
    6. All applicants must take either the SAT or ACT test to qualify. The fee required for the administration of the tests must be borne by the applicant. 
    7. The selection committee, whose decision will be final, will decide all matters pertaining to this contest. No correspondence in relation to this competition can be undertaken. The winners will be notified of the award and will be expected to accept the award during the announcement at the May Labor Council meeting held on the 4th Tuesday of the month. 
    8. Applications are available through the high school counselor, affiliated Local Unions or from the Waukesha County Labor Council Secretary. 
    9. Completed applications must be forwarded to the Labor Council Secretary and be at the office no later than 3:00 pm on the Monday preceding the 4th Wednesday of the month of April. 
    10. The winners of the scholarships will be awarded a check upon presenting evidence of enrollment at an accredited college, university, or business school approved by the selection committee.
