• Hi!  My name is Sheila Petasek and this is my 12th school year working for the Waukesha School District as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.  Before I joined the Waukesha School District, I worked for Hear Wisconsin as an Early Interventionist working with children ages Birth to Three with hearing loss.  I am passionate about working with children with hearing loss and developing their speech, language, and auditory skills.  I have a B.A. in Deaf Education and a M.A. in Early Intervention from Fontbonne University in St. Louis, MO.  I am certified to teach children who are deaf or hard of hearing from birth to 12th grade and also am certified to teach birth to 6th grade elementary education.

At home, I have a wonderful, supportive husband, three amazing children: Grace, Will, and Lucas and a goldfish named Jeff.  Our family is very active in our community.  I have been the Home and School President for my children's school for the past four years and my husband coaches all three of our children's soccer teams.
