Hello! My name is Heather McCollum. I am the School Psychologist at Lowell Elementary. As a School Psychologist I provide direct support and social/emotional/behavioral interventions to students; consult with teachers, families, and other school-based mental health professionals (school counselors and school social workers) to improve support strategies; work with our student services team including administration to improve our schoolwide practices and policies; and collaborate with community providers to coordinate needed services. It is my goal at Lowell to help improve academic achievement, promote positive behavior and mental health, support diverse learners, create a safe and positive school climate, strengthen family-school partnerships, and improve schoolwide assessment and accountability. I love to apply my expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior to help children and youth succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. I earned my Masters and Education Specialist degrees through UW-Milwaukee. This year is my 7th year as a School Psychologist and my 2nd year with the School District of Waukesha at Lowell Elementary. I am married to my husband Brandon, have a two-year-old son named Noah, and two fur-babies Bella & Bailey. In my freetime, I enjoy spending time with my family; going to festivals and concerts; and enjoying the great outdoors camping, boating, hiking.
