Hi! My name is Tanya Moore and I teach fourth grade here at Lowell Elementary. I have been a teacher in the Waukesha School District for over 30 years. It is a joy to be a teacher and to meet so many new families and their students. My teaching career started in Ohio, where I taught third grade for one year and first grade for four years. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education from The Ohio State University and my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Ohio University. Also, from Carroll University I have earned a certificate for math instruction.
On a personal note, I have been married for 35 years, to my wonderful husband Jack. We have two children. Our son, Jackson, is 23 years old and is graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Computer Science. Taylor is 20 and is attending the University of Whitewater, pursuing a degree in psychology. As a family we like to spend time together outdoors, having bonfires, and swimming.
It has been a privilege to work here at Lowell all these years. The families have been so kind and the staff is truly amazing. It is so inspiring to see the students learning and growing every day.
