Welcome to Lowell!
-
Hello, I’m Laurie Pogorzelski and I joined Lowell in August, 2020. At Lowell, we have a team of dedicated professionals who are devoted to our students and each other.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education from Mount Mary University, and I earned my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Cardinal Stritch University. While at Stritch, I also obtained my Director of Curriculum & Instruction License. This Fall, I completed all the coursework in my Doctoral Program, and I plan to finish my dissertation shortly. The focus of my Doctoral work at Concordia University is on Leadership, Innovation, Continuous Improvement, and Instruction.
Prior to Waukesha, I served for 10 years as an Elementary Principal and Director of Instruction, K-12, in the School District of St. Francis. Before this role, I was a Curriculum Coordinator (in Waukesha!), as well as teacher in the Elmbrook School District. It is an honor to work at Lowell.
Lowell is a vibrant learning community with passionate, professional staff committed to making our school an exceptional place to learn and work together. I love being in classrooms and interacting with students. I also thoroughly enjoy learning and growing with our staff as we work to provide the best school experience possible for our students.
Outside of school, I enjoy volunteer work and spending time with my family. I am involved with a local dog rescue, and I've had over 65 foster dogs in my home over the past few years!
I would be happy to share more information or answer questions about Lowell. Thank you for visiting our website!
