Mrs. Garcia- Velez
My name is Mary Garcia-Velez. I feel very fortunate to be the principal of the wonderful Banting community. I am jumping into my 25th year of administration. I have worked in both primary and middle school settings. I also had the opportunity to teach in Quito, Ecuador for a year. I have visited schools in Costa Rica, Mexico and also spent a summer teaching and learning in Fiji. I am a lifelong learner and have learned so much from students over the years.
An amazing part about Banting is the richness of diversity in our school community. We welcome you to come and learn with us the beauty of our differences and how learn from each other. Our tagline is "Embracing diversity preparing students for a global society."
