I began my teaching career at Banting in 1990. I spent the first ten years teaching second grade and the next sixteen years teaching third and fourth grade. I feel very fortunate to work with such a dedicated and talented staff along with an awesome PTO.
I have a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Language Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. I also have a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Carroll University.
When I am not working, I enjoy reading, hiking, and gardening. My family consists of my husband Jeff, three children, one dog, and one cat. My oldest daughter Nicole is a senior at UW-Madison. My son Matt is a sophmore at UW-Whitewater, and my youngest daughter Lisa is a junior at Waukesha North.
I am a HUGE animal lover and a proud “parent” of a papillon named Cooper and a cat named Leo. I am sure my students will hear a few stories about Cooper and Leo throughout the year.
I look forward to learning along with my students this year. I am always amazed at how much I learn from them (especially in the area of technology).
