Hello! My name is Jessica Hegg and I am a Dual Language teacher starting my seventh year here at Banting! I am originally from Milwaukee, but I have lived in many places. I studied at the University of Minnesota where I got a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree. During my time in Minnesota I also studied abroad for a semester in Spain. In 2001 I moved to Chile where I taught at an elementary school for seven years. I met my husband José in Chile and we were married there in 2005. In 2008 we moved to Milwaukee and I went back to school at Cardinal Stritch University for my teaching license in Elementary Education and Spanish. In 2015, I completed my Bilingual license at MTEC and in may of 2016 I received my Masters in Education. I have two wonderful children! Lucas is nine and Sofía is seven. We speak Spanish in our home, so my children are also bilingual! I love to cook and dance with my kids. We go camping every summer to the Wisconsin State Parks. Although this school is going to be very different from all of the others, I am very excited to get back to what I love-TEACHING FIFTH GRADERS!!!!
