Degrees and Certifications:
Hello, Waukesha South Community!
It is my pleasure to welcome you to Waukesha South and the amazing students, faculty and staff, facilities, and history of which we are so very proud.
Waukesha South students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of academic experiences including the Waukesha Engineering Prep Academy, the Waukesha Academy of Health Professions, AVID, Dual Language, Advanced Placement, Dual Enrollment, Transcripted Credit, Career Pathway Prep Courses, rigorous core classes, and elective courses that are second to none. South offers athletics, activities, and technology that allow students with special interests and talents, the ability to find a group of other students who share common passions.
The faculty and staff at Waukesha South are committed to serving ALL of our students and meeting them at their level in order to move them forward to experience success. They believe in teaching the whole child and are dedicated to building relationships and fostering a growth mindset among our entire school.
The School District of Waukesha is 1:1 with Ipads as the chosen technology. This technology allows all of our students to have access to the same benefits for classroom innovations, tasks, and activities. Our auditorium, fieldhouse, and natatorium are among the best in the area and with the generous votes of our community members, in 2021 we will complete construction of an addition to our classroom spaces to accommodate our increasing enrollment.
Waukesha South has a rich history in the city of Waukesha. Opened in 1957, it is the oldest and largest public school in the school district. We have many proud alums who are dedicated Blackshirts and several 2nd and 3rd generations who have earned their diplomas from Waukesha South. South boasts success in several areas of academics, activities, and athletics including the fine and performing arts, robotics, National Merit Scholars, swim, track, and on and on.
Welcome to South! It has a wonderful support system and strong roots in our city. Go Shirts!
