Ryan Patt - Principal

Mr. Patt has been Principal at Waukesha West since 2016.  His duties at West include supervision of all students; supervision of content areas Special Education, Student Services, Technology Education and Music; School Safety; communicating with all stakeholders including students, parents, alumni, and community members; scheduling, hiring, budgeting and capital improvement.

Mr. Patt graduated from Horace Mann High School in North Fond du Lac, WI in 1995, and went on to earn his Bachelors Degree in Technology Education from UW-Stout (2000) and his Masters Degree in Educational Leadership (2009) from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.  He started his teaching career in the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District as a high school Technology Education teacher and Dean of Students at West Allis Central High School prior to moving to Waukesha West High School as an Associate Principal in 2009. Beyond the classroom, Mr. Patt has also coached football, basketball and track at the high school level.

Outside of school, Mr. Patt enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, staying athletically active, traveling, reading, fishing, hunting and being involved with their church.

Kyle LeMieux - Associate Principal/Athletic Director

Mr. LeMieux has been Associate Principal/Athletic Director at Waukesha West since 2012.  His Associate Principal duties at West include overseeing students with last names (S - Z); supervision of content areas Math, Art, English Language Learners (ELL), Facility Scheduling, School Safety and serving as the advisor of Wolverine Leadership Academy.  As Athletic Director, Mr. LeMieux leads our athletic department made up of 29 programs and over 100 coaches as West strives to "Transform Aspiring Adults Through Athletics".  

Mr. LeMieux graduated from Mukwonago High School in 2002, and went on to earn his Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology (2007) and his Masters Degree in Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis (2012) from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.  He started his teaching career in the Oconomowoc Area School District as an elementary physical education teacher prior to moving to Waukesha North High School to join their physical education department.  Beyond the classroom, Mr. LeMieux has also coached all ages as a baseball and football coach, including serving as Waukesha North's Head Baseball Coach from 2010-2012.

Outside of school, Mr. LeMieux enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, and actively being involved with their church.

Laura Ryan - Associate Principal/Assessment Coordinator

 
Ms. Ryan has been Associate Principal at Waukesha West since 2015. Her duties at West include supervision of students with last names (K - R), supervision of content areas English, Social Studies, and Family and Consumer Education, CCR Reading lead, and Assessment Coordinator. 
 
Ms. Ryan graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 1991 with a degree in Education, Language Arts and went on to earn her Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee in 1995 and her administrative licensure in 2014.  She started her teaching career in MPS but spent 17 years teaching English at Elkhorn Area High School and 5 years teaching at New Berlin Eisenhower before coming to Waukesha West as an instructional coach for two years and then moving into administration.
 
Outside of school, Ms. Ryan spends her time reading, framing her daughter's artwork, and watching her son play basketball and soccer.

Deanna Burton - Associate Principal/Activities Coordinator

Dr. Deanna Burton has been an Associate Principal and Activities Director at Waukesha West High School since 2015.  Her duties include supervision of students last names A-J, supervision of content areas in Science, Business, Physical Education, and World Language; math CCR facilitator, and leading professional development for instructional staff.

Dr. Burton graduated from Milwaukee Lutheran High School, in 1993, Alverno College in 1998 with her Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication and Secondary Education (English/Speech),  she continued her educational quest at Cardinal Stritch University where she earned a Master of Science Degree in Educational Leadership in 2000. Her final terminal degree was earned from Cardinal Stritch University in the doctoral program for transformative leadership, learning and service in December 2016.  Dr. Burton’s research focused on college retention and African American males. Dr. Burton started her career as a literature, speech and drama teacher at Milwaukee Vincent High School for 6 years.  She then moved into administrative leadership roles in the Oconomowoc School district for 10 years before transitioning to Waukesha West High School as an Associate Principal and Activities Director.

Outside of school, Deanna enjoys spending time with family and friends; being actively involved in her church, reading, and speaking professionally about diversity, equity and social justice.  Deanna thoroughly enjoys writing and watching plays.
