Halee Shepard, President

Halee is the current WAHP Board President and a Waukesha South proud graduate. She earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and began practicing in outpatient orthopedics. Halee mentored many student physical therapists during that time and recognized her passion for teaching. Halee is the founding director of the CARE Clinic, located at Herzing University – Brookfield, and it is a pro-bono wellness clinic providing students with practical learning opportunities. She is an active member of physical therapy professional organizations and frequently presents on topics related to clinical education.

Lucy Glaser

Lucy joined Carroll University in 2015, bringing a diverse background in education. She’s worked as a public elementary educator, educational liaison and advocate for children and adolescents in mental health care, a group care early childhood educator and as a director within a statewide early childhood agency.  

In her role at Carroll, Lucy provides primary advising to students in the Health Sciences (Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Radiologic Technology) major. She also coordinates the Health Sciences Bound Initiative which provides expert advising to Carroll’s pre-health students. Lucy manages the health and medical sciences articulated programs and agreements.

Julie Jackson, NP

Julie Jackson is a Vice President Continuum of Care at ProHealth Care. Julie has been in healthcare leadership for over 15 years. Julie’s background is a nurse practitioner. She has served on the Lake Area Free Clinic board since 2012. Julie served as chair of the Lake Area Free Clinic board. Julie currently is the chair of the board at the Rehab Hospital of Wisconsin and has served on multiple different boards at multiple organizations. Julie describes her passion as leading her teams to create an exceptional patient experience by partnering with patients and their families to improve their quality of life.

Geri Krupp-Gordon

Geri Krupp-Gordon is Chief Operating Officer for Capri Senior Communities (“Capri”).  Geri has been working in healthcare for over 30 years as both a registered nurse and an attorney.  Prior to joining Capri, Geri worked at Brookdale Senior Living where she held numerous roles throughout her twenty year tenure including Vice President of Legal Affairs, Vice President of Resident Services and Training, and Senior Vice President, Co-General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer.  

Geri has experience in independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and continuing care retirement centers, as well as outpatient therapy, home health, private duty home care, and hospice services.  Geri has managed the full continuum of resident services including nursing services, dining services, Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care and life enrichment programing. She has experience in creating national operational learning and development programs including leadership foundations for executive directors, sales managers and health and wellness directors. As Co-General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, Geri has experience with all legal issues relating to operations including licensure, survey support, HIPPA, risk management issues, regulatory appeals, and negotiations with regulatory agencies.

Geri has presented on long-term care law and health care related issues at national conferences sponsored by the Argentum (formerly the Assisted Living Federation of America), National Investor Center, American Law Firm Association and Defense Research Institute.  Geri is co-author of “Family & Medical Leave Acts: Where Lie the ‘Greater Rights’?” published in the Wisconsin Lawyer which was awarded a Certificate of Commendation by the State Bar of Wisconsin.  Geri served on the Board of Advisors for Marquette University Law School Elder’s Advisor and served on Argentum’s Regulatory and Legal Advisory Committee.  

Geri received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Iowa and her law degree, Cum Laude, from the University of Wisconsin.   She is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and holds a Wisconsin nursing license.

Carolyn Mueller is the Director of Inpatient Nursing at Ascension S.E. Wisconsin Hospital’s Elmbrook Campus in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Her nursing leadership experience is in: Emergency Services, Critical and Intermediate Care, Progressive Surgical, Medical/Cardiac/Oncology, Palliative and Hospice Care.

As a Healthcare Leader she is known for her focus on high quality patient centered care. She is an active team member on many interdisciplinary teams that work with the following disciplines: Physicians, Radiology, Outpatient, Cancer Care, Wound Care, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Perioperative Services, Emergency Services, Care Management, Therapies, Inpatient Rehab, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Information Services, Clinical Engineering and Finance. She has been involved in the successful hospital certification by national regulatory associations in these specialty areas: Stroke, Chest Pain, Hip, Knee and Bariatrics.

Carolyn has presented on many topics including: Diabetes, Shared Leadership, Patient Experience, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Mission Services, and Healthcare Regulations. She is a graduated from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and is a licensed by the State of Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse. Carolyn graduated from St. Francis University in Illinois with a Master’s in Healthcare Administration (MHA), is committed to progressing the nursing profession and high-quality healthcare.

I am a graduate of Milwaukee Area Technical College, Surgical Technology Program and have over 23 years’ experience as a Surgical Assistant for a Cardiothoracic Surgical Practice. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree from Concordia University in Mequon and am currently working on my thesis to complete my Master’s Degree in Career and Technical Education by the fall of 2019 from UW Stout.

I have been employed at WCTC since August of 2009 and in my role as an Associate Dean since July of 2015.

Robert Poulsen

Rob Poulsen is Vice President of Finance at Advocate Aurora Health supporting the Waukesha Jefferson Patient Service Area as well as the Behavioral Health service line.  Working out of the Summit, Wisconsin location, Rob plays a critical role as a member of the hospitals administrative leadership team.

As a Finance Leader with 20+ years of experience in roles across healthcare, consumer products and manufacturing companies Rob is an accomplished professional with vast experience in Strategic Planning, Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate Development and Mergers & Acquisitions.   

As a Healthcare Leader He is known for his focus on strategic growth in a competitive environment that focuses on patient choice and high-quality patient care.  Rob is involved in many facets of day-to-day operations and routinely works with Physicians, hospital leadership and front-line caregivers on issues related to finance, operations, safety and quality for both the hospital and ambulatory settings.

Rob has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Northern Illinois University and an Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago.
