As Field Operations Manager, Jon is responsible for the overall direction of the field forces of Mortenson’s Wisconsin operations, including relationship management, preconstruction, construction and business development activities, constructability reviews, as well as hiring of all field personnel. His 21 years of construction experience includes a broad range of projects across the municipal, healthcare, data center, laboratory, corporate, museum, and renewable energy markets in the U.S. and Canada. Jon is actively involved in outreach efforts with many schools and universities throughout the Midwest. He serves on the Northern Michigan University Construction Management Advisory Council, Board Member of Building2Learn organization, WRTP/Big Step Construction Advisory Council and is the Chairman of the Governance Board for Waukesha Engineering Preparatory Academy. Jon earned a bachelor of science in construction management with a minor in Business Administration from Northern Michigan University.

Earned my Bachelor’s degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, in 1975.

Earned my Master’s degree in Business Administration from Marquette University in 1982.

Job #1: Allis Chalmers Corp, West Allis, WI. 1975 – 1982. Engineering Trainee to Sr. Process Engineer in the West Allis Foundry Plant. (Foundry Plant closed)
Job #2: General Casting Corp, Waukesha, WI. 1983 – 1985. Process Engineer and Pattern Shop Supervisor. (I was invited to not be there any longer L)
Job #3: Precision Pattern Co., Inc., West Allis, WI. 1985 to present. Sales Engineer, Vice President and now President.

2)      Member, American Foundry Society – Wisconsin Chapter. 1977 – present. Have served on the Board of Directors and am currently Treasurer of the Chapter.
3)      Volunteer at Waukesha South High School. Was on Site Council starting at least 10 years ago. Then on to the WEPA Governance Board. Currently hold the Treasurer’s position.

Mike was born and raised in Waukesha, Wisconsin. He graduated from Waukesha High School in 1970 and subsequently received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in the mid-1970’s.

Mike is a licensed Professional Engineer and Registered Land Surveyor in the State of Wisconsin and has been involved in planning, design and construction projects throughout the State of Wisconsin for over 40 years.

During his career, Mike has worked on development projects from all perspectives. He has had the opportunity to represent owners, contractors and designers. This varied and unique background has provided Mike with a wide range of technical and managerial skills. Mike was appointed to the position of Executive Director for the Southeast Wisconsin Professional Baseball Park District in October 1996 to manage and oversee the planning, design and construction of Miller Park.

Mike continues to serve as the Executive Director of the District, and is currently responsible for District operations and management, including facility monitoring, major capital repairs and landlord management duties at Miller Park. After starting his own firm in early 2001, Mike has provided engineering, owner’s representative and project management services for Miller Park, Lambeau Field, Acuity Insurance, Minnesota Twins’ Target Field, the Marquette Interchange, Summerfest and several other challenging projects.

As Senior IT Project/Program Manager Consultant at Johnson Controls IT organization in Glendale, Wisconsin, Steve is currently responsible for the coordinated management of high profile enterprise improvement programs within Johnson Controls Software Development, Build, Deploy, Test, Procurement, and Finance teams. Overseeing all aspects of the project Steve works to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within the constraints of the budget, schedule, and stakeholder expectations.  His 25 years of IT experience includes a broad range of Software Application Development, Software Development Life Cycle, Continuous Improvement, and Quality Management projects within the Ecommerce, Aerospace & Defense, Manufacturing, Industrial, and Telecommunication markets. He serves on the Governance Board, Communication, and Class Curriculum Committee for the Waukesha Engineering Preparatory Academy at Waukesha South High School.
