ACT & ACT Workkeys
The state of Wisconsin is requiring ALL 11th grade students to take the ACT plus writing test. The ACT is a national college admissions examination that consists of multiple choice questions in the subjects of English, Math, reading and science. They will also be taking the 45 minute writing test. Students will be allowed to send their results to FOUR post-secondary institutions. There is NO cost to the student to take these tests. This year the ACT will take place on Wednesday, February 20, 2019.
WorkKeys stresses skill development important for EVERY type of employment. It measures skills such as reading for information, applied mathematics, locating information and teamwork. These are skills that employers feel are critical to job success. This test will be administered on Thursday, February 21.
ALL 10th graders will also be taking a practice ACT on February 20th. More details to come.
