SENIOR HONORS NIGHT - May 22nd, 2024 7pm

Any senior who has earned a scholarship either from the university that they plan to attend, an outside agency, or one of the many scholarships offered on the North scholarship webpage, will be honored at the annual Senior Honors Night ceremony in the North auditorium. To be included in the evening, please fill out this Scholarship Information Sheet as soon as possible. The deadline to submit a known scholarship is Monday, May 6th.

Waukesha Education Foundation Scholarships - deadline has now passed for all WEF scholarships listed below. The winners of each will be announced at Senior Honors Night.

WEF Hydro-Thermal Corporation Scholarship (NEW FOR 2024)

Description: Awarded to a female student who intends to study engineering at a 4 year university. One winner will be selected from applicants from Waukesha North, Waukesha South and Waukesha West. Applicants must complete the online application, short answer & essay questions and provide an unofficial or official transcript.

WEF Chrys Racinowski Memorial Scholarship

Description: This award is in memory of Chrys Racinowski, a Waukesha North alum. It was created by his family to honor his memory. The winner of this award should be a Waukesha North Graduate who is attending a 2 or 4 year technical school or college university. The student must have a GPA of 3.0 or greater. This award will be selected by the student services or scholarship team at North HS.

WEF Diane Voit Outstanding Business Student 

Description: Awarded to an outstanding business student graduating from North HS. Winner is selected by the student services department/scholarship team at North, with assistance from the business teachers.

WEF Dr Jim Marty Memorial Scholarship

Description: Awarded to a student graduating from North HS who has overcome problems, hurdles or challenges and show potential for future success.

WEF Elizabeth & Peter Dianich Scholarship

Description: The Elizabeth & Peter Dianich Scholarship fund was created in 2006 to honor graduating seniors that will be continuing their formal education at an accredited post-secondary institution. One winner from each high school.

 WEF METRO MLS Scholarships (3)

Metro MLS is please to offer three $1000 scholarships in 2023: the Tom Curtis Metro MLS Computer Science Scholarship, Terry Donahue Metro MLS Computer Science Scholarship and the Gary Gerhardt Metro MLS Scholarship. (2 focused on IT or computer science, 1 on business)

Awarded to a Senior at Waukesha North, West or South who is planning to attend an accredited college or university to pursue a degree or tech program to pursue a certificate or 2 year degree. (The named Computer Science scholarships MUST be going into IT or Computer Science programs). Preference will be given to students who have participated in extracurricular activities (either within the high school or an outside organization) or held a job for at least part of high school. 

Amount: Three $1000 Scholarships named as per above.

Selection: Each HS will nominate two students, with at least one student meeting the computer science/IT requirement. Recommendation will then be made by the donor, with a named alternate.

WEF Diane Voit Aspiring Educator Award

Description:  Awarded to a graduate of North HS that aspires to become an educator. Winner is selected by the student services department/scholarship team at North.

WEF Waukesha Women's Club Scholarship

Description: Students are planning on furthering their education either at a 2 or 4 year college/university. Need to live in the city/town of Waukesha. Need a letter of recommendation. Need a copy of a letter of acceptance from the college or university you plan to attend. Awarded to a male OR female student.

Scholarship Committees make final decisions on the winner. There will be one winner from each high school.

WEF Voit Family Future Educator Scholarship

Description: Awarded to one outstanding student graduating from North HS. South HS, West HS or eAchieve Academy to a student who will be attending school to become an educator.

WEF Tech Auntie Scholarship

Description: The Tech Auntie award is a $1000 scholarship for a student going to a technical school, with priority given to students attending WCTC or MATC. Students should have a GPA or 2.5 or higher, financial need should be considered. One award will be given at each of the high schools whenever possible. 

Amount: $1000 each, to be paid at $500 increments, with the second increment paid out after successful completion of first semester. Must maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher during the first semester of technical school, and provide technical school transcripts to receive the second part of the award. WEF Quentin & Dorothy Smirl Family Scholarship

Description:Need to be going into a Health Related Field at a Wisconsin College/University. There is one winner district wide and the winner will be selected from applications submitted from Waukesha North, South or West High Schools.

WEF Peter & Dora Simon Family Scholarship

Description:Recipient must be planning to attend a 2-year or 4-year post-secondary institution.  Must be planning to major in a Nursing program at a Wisconsin College/University. There is one winner district wide and the winner will be selected from applications submitted from Waukesha North, South or West High Schools.

WEF Pat Tyler Scholarship Award

Description: Need to be a senior on the Girl's volleyball team at North HS and the award winner is selected by teammates.

WEF Otto’s Fine Art Academy Scholarship

Description: The Otto's Fine Art Academy Scholarship is a $500 scholarship that was created to provide additional funding to support a student pursuing additional education in the visual arts or art education. The student must be accepted to an accredited four-year university or two-year tech school with intent to pursue a degree in the visual arts or art education. Students must have successfully completed at least 3 art classes at either Waukesha North, South or West High Schools. Students must have maintained an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher.

ONE winner will be selected across all three high schools. Interested students should complete the online application by the deadline. Winners will be notified by his/her high school.

The Wisconsin Title I Association

Will be awarding up to four $1,500 scholarships to high school seniors from Wisconsin. A scholarship committee from the Association will choose the student recipients. The scholarship will be awarded to the recipients at the Wisconsin Title I Association's spring meeting.

The scholarships are available to students to further their education by pursuing a two-year certificate or four year degree. Students who apply must have been in a Title I Program sometime during their Early Childhood through Grade 12 school career. Public as well as private school. The Treasurer of the Wisconsin Title I Association will make scholarship payments directly to the school/college that the recipient will attend.

Requirements:

  • Be a graduate of an accredited high school and be a WI resident

  • Show a sincere desire and interest in furthering his/her education

  • Plan to attend an accredited university, college, or two-year technical college

  • Have been in a Title I Program between early childhood and grade 12

American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA)-Milwaukee Chapter #43

The Milwaukee AHEPA Chapter 43 scholarship program recognizes academically gifted high school students and rewards those in our Hellenic community who have achieved outstanding success. We acknowledge and place high value on the well-rounded student and their potential for future success.

Requirements: 

Must meet both of the following criteria:

  • A senior high school student eligible for graduation at the end of the 2023-2024 school year; and

  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

Must meet one of the following:

  • A child or grandchild of a member of Milwaukee AHEPA Chapter #43 or Daughters of Penelope Hector 103.

  • Be a member of a Greek Orthodox Church in southeastern Wisconsin

American Welding Society District Scholarship

Each of AWS's 22 Districts has a pool of $15,000 to award to students residing or attending school within the District boundaries.

Requirements:

  • Most importantly, you must enroll in a welding-related educational or training program.

  • You must be a high school graduate or possess a GED equivalent.

  • You must reside in and attend school within the boundaries of an AWS District, which includes the Continental United States and portions of Canada and Mexico. View the AWS District and Section Map here.

  • You must complete the scholarship application and provide any additional documentation as required by the application’s instructions.

  • Some District Scholarships require you to be an AWS member while others do not. To apply for an AWS Student Membership, please visit the Student Membership page.

Filling out the scholarship application is a relatively easy process.  The form is self-explanatory; it clearly states what kind of information is needed to apply. Make sure that you fill out the form completely. The more information you provide, the easier it will be for the District Scholarship Committee to determine your eligibility.

American Legion Schneider-Emanuel Scholarship

The American Legion, Department of Wisconsin Schneider-Emanuel scholarship offers three (3) deserving graduates the sum of $1,000 to be applied to the cost of continuing education. 

Requirements:

Applicant must either be;

  • A SON/DAUGHTER whose Father, Mother, or Legal Guardian is living and a current member of The American Legion, The American Legion Auxiliary, or The Sons of The American Legion at the time of application.org

  • A GRANDSON/GRANDDAUGHTER whose Grandfather, Grandmother, or Legal Guardian is living and a current member of The American Legion, The American Legion Auxiliary, or The Sons of The American Legion at the time of application.

  • APPLICANT is a current member in good standing, in The Sons of The American Legion or The American Legion Auxiliary/Junior Auxiliary at the time of application.

Children of Warriors National Presidents’ Scholarship

The American Legion Auxiliary sponsors the Children of Warriors National Presidents' Scholarship to support the children of our warriors. These scholarships are awarded to 15 students annually who excel in academics and volunteer in their communities.

Three $5,000 scholarships are awarded annually per geographic division, for a total of 15 scholarships. These scholarships are for undergraduate study only at an accredited college or university, and may be used for tuition, books, fees, room, and board.

Requirements:

Candidates for this award shall be direct descendants of veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces during eligibility dates for membership in The American Legion: April 6, 1917, to November 11, 1918; and any time after December 7, 1941. 

Membership in The American Legion Family is not required for this scholarship.

Applicants must be in their senior year of high school.

This is a scholarship to attend an accredited institution of higher education.

Applicants must complete 50 hours of volunteer service within the community during their high school years. Hours must be verified in writing by the recipient organization(s).

Judging, at all levels, shall be on the following basis:

30% - Character/Leadership

30% - Essay/Application

40% - Academic Achievement

Young Women in Public Affairs Scholarship

The Zonta Club of Milwaukee offers three college scholarship opportunities for young women and college students living in and/or attending accredited schools in southeastern Wisconsin including: Milwaukee, Waukesha, Ozaukee, Washington, Racine and Kenosha counties. Aimed at pre-university or pre-college students (ages 16-19), this tri-level (club/district/international) scholarship competition was designed to encourage more young women to participate in Public Affairs and Political Life.The Zonta Club of Milwaukee awards a $1,000 scholarship and forwards the winner’s application to Zonta District 6 for consideration for an additional $1,000 scholarship award. The district winner’s application is sent on to Zonta International for consideration for one of the ten $4,000 international scholarship awards.

Requirements: Applicants must show their active commitment to volunteerism and provide evidence of their volunteer leadership achievements, as well as their dedication to advancing the status of women.

UW-Credit Union Scholarship 

Each year, UW Credit Union awards ten $3,000 scholarships to student members who share our commitment to making our communities stronger and better places to live.Our ideal scholarship candidates will show focus, determination, commitment, and an innovative spirit when working toward a goal. They will demonstrate the ability to balance multiple priorities - school, work, family, extracurricular activities - while remaining focused on what they’re striving to achieve. They will have learned valuable lessons along the way, which will have only strengthened their resolve and clarified their path forward. They view higher education as a means to help them attain their goals. They are changemakers who believe they have the power to make  communities stronger and healthier.

Requirements:

All applicants must be:

  • New or returning full-time undergraduate students

  • Enrolled in a UW System school, Madison College or Edgewood College in the fall of the application year

  • Members in good standing of UW Credit Union for at least 3 months from the application deadline (either individually, or joint on an account with a parent or guardian)

  • Candidates will demonstrate commitment to their community through volunteerism, community-centered employment and/or school activities.

WISA Scholarship

The Wisconsin Security Association (WISA), is pleased to announce the availability of two college scholarships for graduating seniors whose parents are full-time, active members of a Wisconsin police or fire department. One $1,500 Youth Scholarship will be awarded to a son/daughter of an active-duty police department member and one to a son/daughter of an active-duty fire department member. 

Requirements:

Wisconsin Sheriffs Association

The Wisconsin Sheriffs and Deputy Sheriffs Association annual scholarship award program was developed to offer financial assistance to full-time students enrolled in Criminal Justice programs at any college or university. Its purpose is to encourage educational growth and professionalism among police officers and deputy sheriffs. Seven $500 scholarships will be awarded and winners will be selected on a competitive basis. Any Wisconsin state resident that is enrolling in a college, and has a course of study leading to a degree in law enforcement, is eligible. Each WS&DSA District Director selects his/her district’s scholarship recipients. All decisions made by the Director are final. The recipient must submit proof of his/her enrollment at an accredited college/university. Awards are not retroactive and may not be credited to semesters already completed. Recipient must be enrolled in the fall semester of this year. After the student has submitted proof of enrollment, a check for the scholarship award will be given directly to the scholarship recipient. 

Requirements:

  • Fill out and submit the attached Scholarship Application in its entirety.

  • Enclose three letters of recommendation from three separate sources, which may include family members, school faculty and staff, neighbors, clergy, employers, civic organization and law enforcement members, etc.

  • Enclose a transcript of high school grades and/or college transcript of grades.

  • Relatives of employees of a law enforcement agency are encouraged to apply.

  • Enclose a recent photo for use in the WS&DSA magazine.

  • Failure to comply with instructions will result in ineligibility.

Wisconsin FFA Foundation Scholarship 

The applicant must be a member in good standing of the Wisconsin Association of FFA through membership in a recognized FFA chapter.  Must be at least a senior in high school or  already enrolled in college and have maintained a satisfactory scholastic record in school. 

The applicant must major in a program offered through an accredited university or technical college with special consideration given to students with interests in agriculture, unless specified by the sponsor.

4-H Foundation Scholarships

The Wisconsin 4-H Foundation will award more than $10,000 in scholarships to outstanding Wisconsin students pursuing higher education in 2024. To be considered for financial support, applications must be received via email by the Wisconsin 4-H Foundation on or before March 15, 2024. Wisconsin 4-H Foundation scholarships are awarded to students based on demonstrated personal growth, development and leadership, academic performance and future educational goals.To be eligible for Wisconsin 4-H Foundation scholarships, students must have been a 4-H member for at least one year, have a grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, and be enrolled or planning to enroll at a university, college or technical school during the 2024-2025 academic school year.

Wisconsin Association of Cheer & Poms Coaches

WACPC is proud to offer up to twenty-individual-$1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors who are involved in the sport of CHEER or DANCE TEAM.

Jazz Unlimited

Tentative Awards March 2024 will be $11,000 in Scholarships to deserving Young Musicians.  We are looking for High School and Pre-High School Jazz Musicians to participate in our Annual Scholarship Competition. There are No Fees to enter the competition. 

The Competition will be held at CLASSIC LANES OAK CREEK, 7501 S. HOWELL AVE, OAK CREEK, WI. 53154 on Sunday, March 17, 2024. 

In addition, we hold an Open JAM Session Every 4th Sunday, 1 PM to 4 PM, at Mezcalero Restaurant, 6869 W Forest Home Ave, Hales Corners, WI 53220.  Anyone, including the students, is welcome to attend.  The winners of the competition are invited to perform in April following the March Competition.

Horatio Alger National and State Scholarship 

Applicants must demonstrate integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity. Must have a minimum 2.0 GPA, be a U.S. citizen and be entering a college/university the following fall after they graduate. Extracurricular and community service activities are a consideration. Must demonstrate financial need ($55,000 or less adjusted gross income per family is required.  SEE WEBSITE FOR DETAILS ON STATE and FEDERAL SCHOLARSHIPS. Amounts: 10-$7,000 scholarships for State and 106-$22,000 National Scholarships Awarded.

ITE Diversity Scholars Program
This program is open to any U.S. high school student of African-American; Native American, Alaskan, and Hawaiian; or Hispanic/Latino heritage with an interest in a career in transportation and seeking to study transportation engineering, planning, or in a related-field at a school with an established ITE Student Chapter.

2024 Ascension SE Wisconsin Hospital Elmbrook Campus Auxiliary Scholarship

The Ascension SE Wisconsin Hospital - Elmbrook Campus Auxiliary is pleased to announce that they will be offering the $3,000 Health Career Scholarship. The scholarship must be used for tuition or educational purposes in a health career program.

Requirements: Eligibility requires direct affiliation with Ascension Elmbrook for a full year prior to the scholarship application deadline as an associate, adult volunteer (Auxiliary member) or the

dependent of one of the former. Student volunteers with 100 hours of service are eligible, and they must submit a current evaluation from Volunteer Services.

All applicants must meet the criteria for eligibility and must complete the application process by March 13, 2024. Applicants must submit an acceptance by an accredited school and be pursuing a human health career. Previous recipients of this scholarship may reapply if they continue to meet all eligibility requirements.

Scholarship awards will be sent by the Auxiliary to the financial aid office at the recipient’s college after July 2024. In the event the recipient does not enroll or drops out of the program, funds will be returned to the Auxiliary.

LILA DRAPER BURTON SCHOLARSHIP

The scholarship is limited to students who are residents of Waukesha County and who are graduates of a Waukesha County public or private high school. While the intent of the donor was to encourage attendance at Carroll University, students planning to attend other colleges or universities are eligible to apply.

The scholarship is a four year, $1,200 per year ($1,800 for persons attending Carroll University in Waukesha), and contingent upon satisfactory scholarship/personal performance. (Please see payment contingencies.) The number of scholarships awarded are dependent upon the income of the Trust Fund. Last year the committee awarded 14 scholarships to Waukesha County graduating seniors.

Qualifications: Consideration will be given to all scholarship applicants based upon:

1. Scholarship achievement

2. Personality and character qualities

3. School citizenship

4. ACT and SAT Composite Scores

5. Financial need (only if financial statement completed)

How to apply: Application forms can be obtained from the Student Services office of all high schools located in Waukesha County. Applications must be completed and returned to the high school Student Services Office on or before March 15, 2024. Preliminary screening will be done by each school’s scholarship committee. Finalists will be further screened and selected by the LILA DRAPER BURTON SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE.

PAYMENT CONTINGENCIES:

1. Scholarship recipients must be full time students enrolled for a minimum of 24 credits per school year and a minimum of 12 credits per semester.

2. Scholarship recipients must maintain a GPA of 2.5 based on a 4.0 scale.

3. Scholarship recipients must send evidence of their current standing prior to payment being made for the following semester. This should include a copy of their prior semester transcript and enrollment information for the upcoming semester. Upon receipt of this evidence, payment will be authorized.

American Legion Americanism and Government Scholarship Program

To promote “Americanism”, love of country, knowledge of government and allegiance to the U.S. flag to our youth. Eligible students are tested on their knowledge of U.S., Wisconsin and County Governments, the U.S. Constitution and flag etiquette. 11 students in grade 10 receive a $250 scholarship, 11 students receive $300 scholarship, and 11 students in grade 12 receive a $750 scholarship.

Requirements:

Any student in the 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in any public, private, parochial or home-schooled within the State of Wisconsin may participate. Students may only take the test 1 time per year; however, students may participate all 3 years and be eligible for the scholarships for multiple years. The test is available on-line March 4 through March 15, 2024. Students register on-line when taking the test. The link is only active during the test window.

Bryce and Anne Styza Community Service Scholarship

Sunrise Rotary Bob Galitz Memorial Scholarship

Two scholarships of $1,500 awarded to one graduating senior from Waukesha North High School and one graduating senior from Pewaukee High School.

Requirements:

Applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75, and demonstrate a history of volunteerism in school and/or the community. Financial need will be considered.

Waukesha MADE Scholarship 

Any student in the senior class who has taken at least two classes in the area of Technology Education at Waukesha North High School, and who plans on attending an institution of higher education in the fall of 2024, and has an overall grade point average of a 2.0, is eligible to apply for the $500 scholarship.  The $500 will be paid directly to the institution of choice prior to the start of the fall semester.

Waukesha North Booster Club Scholarship

The Waukesha North Booster Club is proud to continue with its annual scholarship opportunity for college and technical school-bound student athletes. We are very pleased to announce the board will offer up to four (4) $750 scholarships. Applications can be obtained in the Activities Office, Student Services Office, or on the Booster Club section of the Waukesha North website. The awards will be presented at the Scholar Athlete Recognition Dinner in May. Purpose: Waukesha North Booster Club values effort and excellence. The scholarship committee seeks to recognize and award student athletes who have enriched their high school experience by participation in Northstar athletics while maintaining high academic achievement.

Requirements:

• Cumulative 3.00+ GPA for the first 7 semesters

• Must be attending post HS education in the fall

• Parent(s) are members of the Booster Club

• No Athletic Code Violations senior year

Bob Bartholf Memorial Scholarship 

In memory of Bob Bartholf, a former Northstar who attended Waukesha North in the 80’s.  Bartholf was an active member of the DECA program at Waukesha North, so this scholarship is to honor a current North student who has an interest in a career in business. 

Requirements:

  • All applicants must have taken at least one credit within the Business Department

  • plan to pursue a degree in a business-related field 

  • Applicant also must plan to attend a technical, two-year, or four-year college in the fall of 2024

Kiwanis Scholarship

One of the purposes of the Kiwanis Club of Waukesha is to work with and  for the young people of our community. Kiwanis Club is awarding two  $1000 scholarships to two North seniors. Applicant must be attending a  2-year, 4-year, or technical college full-time in the fall of 2024. A specific  course of study is not required. 

Requirements:

Any senior who is a resident of the School District of Waukesha is eligible to apply.

Qualifications:

Waukesha Lions Club Scholarship

These scholarships will be a minimum of $1,000 and could be renewable for an additional three years if the student qualifies.

Requirements:

  • Be a 2024 Graduate of a Waukesha City High School.

  • To either possess a physical impairment or be planning to pursue a degree in a field related to furthering care, research, or treatment of persons with such impairments.

Along with the above criteria, there are a number of other considerations which we will use in selecting our candidates, such as, college or University chosen, academic achievement, volunteer work in the community, financial need.

UNICO MILWAUKEE SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS 

The Milwaukee Chapter of UNICO National and the Milwaukee Ladies of UNICO, jointly offer several  $1,000.00 to $1,500.00 scholarships to qualifying high school seniors of Italian/American ancestry.  The $1,500.00 award is directed to a female student entering a STEM program at Marquette University.
Requirements:
1.  Origin – candidate to be of Italian origin.  Italian origin will be interpreted as proof to the Trustees and  Selection Committee’s satisfaction.  Proof, where any doubt might exist, to be submitted with the completed application and documented.
2.  Residence – Candidate must reside in the following counties:  Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Waukesha, Racine, Kenosha, Walworth, or Washington.
3. Academic Qualifications – Bona-fide graduating High School senior who will be attending an accredited 4 year institution of higher learning.  
4.    Financial Need – Financial need is based on total family income, assets, number of children, age of children, interest income, misfortune, illness, hardship.

Wisconsin State USBC Scholarship

Once again in 2024, the Wisconsin State USBC will be granting 25-$2000 scholarships to USBC certified graduating seniors bowling in a certified youth league in the State of Wisconsin.  

Requirements:

  • Must be a graduating high school senior.

  • Is currently a certified member of the Wisconsin State USBC and actively bowling in a certified youth league within the jurisdiction of the Wisconsin State USBC.

  • Applicant must have a good record in USBC and WIAA in high school activities.

  • Application must be filled out in a concise and orderly manner with complete information as required before March 25, 2024.

Lakeland Officials Association Scholarship Fund

Since its inception in 1998, the LOA Scholarship Fund has provided scholarships to graduating student athletes from Waukesha County high schools. To date, over $100,000 has been granted to deserving students who wish to continue their education. Candidates are selected by our scholarship panel from the many applications we receive. Awards are based on factors such as GPA, sports participation, clubs, and volunteer activities as well as work history to name a few.

Ted Kanavas

One scholarship of $3,000 for a graduating senior from any high school in Waukesha County.

Requirements:

Applicants must be a student who demonstrates belief in the core principles that led Ted Kanavas, a Wisconsin State Senator who served from 2000-2010, to be the epitome of a true statesman. These include subscribing to the classical liberal ideology of limited government, economic freedom and individual liberty. Beyond these, applicants will have demonstrated academic success by having achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, have a strong background in community service, participated in extracurricular activities, and financial need.

To be eligible for the $1000.00 scholarship, a senior must meet the following criteria:

STOWELL FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP

Two scholarships of $10,000 (paid over 4 yearly installments). Scholarship payment will be sent directly to the recipient’s college or university based on the following graduated schedule: 1st year (after completion of one semester) $1,000; 2nd year $2,00; 3rd year $3,000; and 4th year $4,000. Failure to attain/maintain the minimum GPA of 3.0 or any gaps in enrollment may result in forfeiture of remaining unpaid scholarship dollars. Due to GPA requirements, the first installment payment will be made available after completion of the first semester of the first year of college.

Requirements:

–Recipients are not required to have achieved any minimum high school GPA to be eligible, however recipients will be required to be registered as full-time students and attain/maintain a cumulative 3.0 grade point average at their college or university prior to receiving any payments against this award.

–Recipients should have a significant demonstrated financial need and proven behavior that indicates their ability for academic success.

–Recipients must be attending a 4-year post-secondary institution in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree.

STOWELL FAMILY TECHNICAL SCHOLARSHIP

This is a multi-installment scholarship of up to $2,000. The recipient must be attending a technical or vocational school in pursuit of an associate/technical/applied degree, certificate, or diploma. Scholarship payments will be sent directly to the recipient’s technical college or school based on the following schedule: 1st payment of $1,000 upon submission of account/tuition statement showing charges billed to student after enrollment; 2nd payment of $1,000 after student provides proof of good academic standing upon completion of one term of chosen program. Failure to attain academic good standing or any gaps in enrollment may result in forfeiture of remaining unpaid scholarship dollars.

–Recipient is not required to have achieved any minimum high school GPA to be eligible, however, recipients will be required to be registered as full-time students and attain good academic standing at their chosen institution in order to receive payment against this award.

–Recipient must have a significant demonstrated financial need and a drive to succeed in their chosen career path.

Margaret Farrow Scholarship

One scholarship of $1,000 for a graduating senior who is a current resident of Waukesha County

 Applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, have been involved in community service, and plan to attend an accredited 4-year college or university. Consideration will focus on academic achievement, financial need, community service and other extra-curricular activities. Priority may be given to applicants planning to pursue a degree related to Journalism, Communication, Civics, or Political Science, with the intention of pursuing a career as a public servant, however students intending to pursue alternate fields of study are encouraged to apply.

Pewaukee Area Arts Council (PAAC) 2024 Scholarship

The Pewaukee Area Arts Council (PAAC) offers two (2) $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors in the arts (visual, performing, literary, multidisciplinary), as well as one (1) $1,000 Roy E. Schneider Musician Scholarship. Totaling three (3) $1,000 scholarships. To be eligible for a $1,000 scholarship, applicants must complete the application form in its entirety. PAAC will select scholarship recipients on the basis of the quality and creativity of art, the potential to benefit from further education, the artist’s statement and financial needs (where applicable). The committee may also use GPA, recognitions and community service to select recipients.

Waukesha Citizens Police Academy Association

The Waukesha Citizens Police Academy Association, Inc. would like to recognize students as they prepare to further their education. The WCPAA will award 2 students with a $1000 scholarship in memory of Michael Inzeo.

Be a graduate of a Waukesha public or private high school OR be a resident of the City of Waukesha OR have a parent/guardian who is employed by the City of Waukesha Police Department.

● Be pursuing a degree in Police Science, Criminal Justice, or a related area of study.

Bethesda Elementary School Scholarship

Bethesda students and families value higher education and want to support a graduating senior(s) from Waukesha West and/or Waukesha North High School with money for college. Must have attended Bethesda Elementary for at least four years, have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above and have been accepted to either a two (2) year or four (4) year college. The Bethesda Scholarship committee will review the applications with the Principal and select one or two students for the scholarship. Selected student members of the Bethesda School Scholarship Committee will attend the West, North and/or South High School Awards Banquet to present the scholarship.

William A. Baumgart “Excellence in Education” Scholarship 

SELECTION CRITERIA- All applicants must:

KNIGHTS OF WAUKESHA SCHOLARSHIP

The Knights of Waukesha was founded in 2010 by five former Waukesha high school students.

These life-long friends recognized how privileged they were and how important Waukesha was to their growth. In an effort to give back to the city that helped mold their youth, the Knights of Waukesha Scholarship was created.

Every year, the five friends choose the most worthy candidate for the one-time, $500 scholarship. The scholarship has evolved over the years. Instead of merely being a scholarship given to the most academically accomplished student, the Knights of Waukesha weigh many different factors, in search of a diamond in the rough.

The recipient of the Knights of Waukesha should demonstrate traits of humility, passion, perseverance, strength, and kindness.

WAUKESHA ELKS LODGE #400:FINE ARTS SCHOLARSHIP

Elks Lodge #400 is soliciting applications for the Second Annual Fine Arts Scholarship. This year we are offering $750 scholarships to each of the top three applicants. This scholarship is intended for students who have been active throughout their high school career in the fine arts beyond their high school graduation. The ideal applicant has reasonable academic standing, has participated in the chosen fine art and in productions or competitions, plans on continuing hi/her involvement in a chosen fine art past high school, and is in need of financial assistance to allow him/her to attend and institution of higher learning.

Requirements:

  • Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 at the end of seven complete semesters

  • Has taken classes or participated in choir, dance, drama or art during his/her high school career

  • No major disciplinary issues during the student’s entire high school career

  • An essay written by the student of no more than 500 words. The essay should address reasons why this student should receive the scholarship and explain how his/her involvement in the fine arts will continue after high school graduation

  • Letter of support from ALL of the following: Fine Arts Teacher(s), Guidance Counselor, and the director of a community amateur production or art competition/display (if applicable).

Scholastic Fund for Students of Hispanic Descent

The SFSHD Scholarship Program is open to young men or women of Hispanic descent who are current high school seniors of the City of Waukesha, Wisconsin, who desire to undertake post-secondary education.

Waukesha Blazers Memorial Scholarship

The Waukesha Blazers will be awarding three $1,000 scholarships in 2024.  Through the generosity of the community, we’ve been able to increase the scholarships for 2024 from $500 to $1000. The Blazers Memorial Scholarship was created in memory of Waukesha Blazers players, families, and friends impacted by the Waukesha Parade tragedy in 2021.  Eligible students interested in applying for the Blazers Memorial Scholarship should complete the application.

The Student-View Scholarship is a unique opportunity for high school seniors. It is open to all students regardless of academic achievement or financial need.

Up to 9 ProHealth Care awards of $2,000 each, 1 Waukesha Memorial Hospital Volunteer award of $1,000 and 2 Diversity awards of $4,000 each will be awarded by Scholarship America. Qualified, diverse applicants will be considered for both scholarships, but may be awarded only one scholarship.
