Science
In our district, we believe science education creates curious citizens who are prepared to solve problems in our ever-changing global society. Science education provides the skills to be critical thinkers, along with a desire to engage in scientific discussion.
Mission and Vision Statement: For the benefit of our students, the local community, and the greater good of humanity and the planet, throughout the elementary science sequence, we need to:
Create curious, global citizens who are critical consumers and participate in constructive discourse around current scientific issues.
Engage students in design thinking to solve problems, evaluate models, and base decisions on evidence and data.
Understand that science learning is a progression and understandings build upon each other.
