The Black Student Union is a new club at West.  The mission is to empower, inspire and acknowledge African American students by promoting unity and awareness about our culture throughout the West community.  

The motto is “speak your truth”.

What we do: 

• Discuss relevant topics related to the African American student experience at West high school

• Plan activities and events

• Movie nights

• Book clubs

• Volunteerism 

• Serve as a support system for one another

Students meet two times per month to discuss issues, celebrations and build community.
