Ignition is a group of students in grades 10 - 12 that work together to welcome Freshmen into West.  Ignition's mission is to create a welcoming culture for our freshmen and a place for upperclassmen to be connected to West so that all participants may succeed socially and academically.

The students in Ignition help create a smooth transition from middle school to high school for our incoming Freshmen and also provide personal connections/activities/tutoring throughout the year.  The biggest event of the year is Freshmen Ignition which is an all-day event for our incoming freshmen every year.  The day consists of team-building exercises, walking their schedule, meeting staff, and learning about what their first year at West will be like.
