Family Engagement

The Wisconsin Statewide Parent-Educator Initiative (WSPEI) is a service for families, educators, and others interested in parent-educator partnerships for children with disabilities.  The School District of Waukesha is active in this initiative and supports families by providing the following:

  • Communication on district-wide opportunities and community resources

  • Round Table events to provide parents with a connection to district leadership and other parents

  • Events to connect parents to community service providers for transition to adulthood and for summer activities designed for children with disabilities

  • District Family Liaisons to be resources for parents who need a knowledgeable parent to discuss school and parenting concerns
