The Department of Chemistry at UWSP urges qualified students to apply for the Trytten Scholarship, awarded annually to an incoming freshman who intends to major in Chemistry at UWSP. The scholarship is named after the late Professor Roland A. Trytten, long time faculty member and leader of the Department of Chemistry at UWSP.
The Nature of the Award:
The total amount of the award is $4,000, applied to your UWSP tuition each semester in the amounts of $200 the Freshman year, $400 the Sophomore year, $600 the Junior year, and $800 the Senior year.
Criteria for selection:
o You declare chemistry as your major at UWSP at the time of application
o You have received at least a 3.50 GPA in high school
o You have a demonstrated capacity and potential for excellence in the field of chemistry
1. Complete all sections of the Student Application Form
2. Arrange to have a letter of recommendation submitted on your behalf by your high school chemistry teacher
3. Have your high school guidance counselor submit the High School Recommendation Form and your high school transcripts
