3rd Grade Lunch Waste Competition

We are piloting a new experience with our 3rd grade students this spring! Each class that visits the E.B. Shurts center for an environmental education program learns about sorting their lunch waste into garbage, recycling, and compost categories. After lunch, the garbage and recycling are weighed. The school who produces the least lunch waste per student at the end of the season will recieve a travelling Lunch Waste Competition trophy! We hope to continue this event in coming years.
