WEF Accepts $1000 Donation from the Noon Kiwanis Club of Waukesha, Inc.

The Waukesha Education Foundation, Inc. (“WEF”) accepted a $1,000 donation last week from the Kiwanis Club of Waukesha.  

The Kiwanis Club is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. The Kiwanis Club of Waukesha, Inc. is a local chapter committed to working right here in Waukesha and one surrounding area to make a difference.  

“For 97 years, the Waukesha Kiwanis Club has worked to support organizations and activities that lead to a better life, particularly those projects that affect the lives of children,” said former Kiwanis Club of Waukesha President and current Board Member, Gene Shoemaker. “This donation from our club aligns well the Waukesha Education Foundation's mission of educational enrichment of students in the Waukesha Public Schools.”

“We are most grateful for this generous donation,” stated Lynnette Kalmadge, Executive Director, Waukesha Education Foundation, Inc.. “By supporting the Waukesha Education Foundation, as well as many other local non-profit organizations and projects, the Kiwanis Club of Waukesha, Inc. makes a tremendous impact on many different parts of our community.”

Each year, WEF raises funds through community events and business partnerships to award grants to local educators for programming and resources that normally would not be covered in school budgets. The organization welcomes business, community organization and individuals to get involved through monetary donations and volunteer opportunities.

Since its inception, the Waukesha Education Foundation, Inc. (WEF) has granted close to $262,000 to support projects and initiatives that directly benefit the students of the School District of Waukesha. Through fundraising efforts such as annual WEF Golf Outing, WEF Run/Walk and Wellness Fair, and the Celebration of Excellence event, WEF relies on donations from the community to further the educational experiences of Waukesha students.
