Waukesha South SALT at Race to Feed

Two teams from Waukesha South SALT competed in the 2026 Blessings in Backpack Race to Feed this evening. This awesome event brings the community together in a head to head, bracketed race, to bag food for Blessings in a Backpack. This food is then distributed to students across southern Wisconsin and to all of our schools in the School District of Waukesha. This year's event hosted 51 teams and bagged over 15,000 bags of food in just a few hours. It is the largest and most successful Race to Feed in the country. Amazing.

South SALT Takes on Hunger!

The South SALT team represented the district and competed against HS teams from both Mukwonago and Sussex, as well as many other school and community groups. They were complimented on their "contagious enthusiasm" and helped to get the crowd excited. Event goers and volunteers wanted to learn more about the SALT program after spending the evening with this enthusiastic group.

Way to go SALT! Special shout out to their advisor, Gina Nordrum and South's AD, Dan Schreier who supported their efforts for the whole evening.
