The Great Orion Nebula dominates the winter sky, but when it comes to summer, the only thing that comes close is M8- Lagoon Nebula. It’s bright enough to be visible to a naked eye under dark skies, & can be easily found just above the spout of the teapot asterism in Sagittarius.

The planet Saturn is rising around 10:00pm these days. It’s around 1st-magnitude in brightness & brightens very slightly each night. For the next few mornings, Saturn appears not far from a waning gibbous Moon.
