"Since Mercury is so close to the sun, we can only observe it when it reaches its “highest” aka visually furthest from the sun. So, try to take another peek at it tonight. It should be at about 10° above the western horizon, just after sunset! #wherethestarshangout"

Many of us have heard of the Summer Triangle. But, did you know there is also a Winter Triangle? This cold-weather asterism is now rising in the east late in the evening, inching higher into the sky day by day as we prepare for winter to begin. SOURCE: astronomy.com"

Well, I'm sure we've all noticed our days getting shorter, darker mornings & nights. Tonight, the sun will set at its earliest time in 2023- 4:16pm! Thankfully the winter solstice is right around the corner (12-21), meaning our days will slowly start getting longer after this!

Mystery of the Christmas Star
What a way to start December! Mercury will be visible in the sky just after sunset! The planet will sit about 6° above the SW horizon. If you can get to a location slightly higher & with few trees/buildings to the W, it will offer the best views. Mercury isn't often visible!
