Tonight is April's full moon! It's most commonly known as the Pink Moon. Northern Native Americans gave it that name, because of phlox, an early pink wildflower that blooms now. It's also known as Sprouting Grass Moon, Growing Moon, Egg Moon or Fish Moon. Which 1 do U prefer?

It's Earth Day today! Wise words for us all to remember...

Time is running out to view some of our beloved winter constellations. The stars famous for appearing in the wintertime sky are now setting soon after sunset these days, as spring gets well and truly underway. Look west about an hour after sunset tonight to catch them.

Have you signed up for Sunset Meditation coming up on Wednesday?
This beautiful evening begins @hdplanetarium at 7:30pm with a peaceful planetarium show. Immediately following, 1 of Retzer's amazing naturalists will take interested participants on a evening hike on the trails.

Have a great week, everyone!

The large constellation Virgo is above the eastern horizon after sunset tonight. Virgo’s brightest star is Spica, which shines at magnitude 1, is actually a binary pair. The two stars are too close to split and orbit each other in just 4 days.
