Just another day of beautiful Wisconsin winter weather....Looking for something to do? Our Silent auction is open until 3/9! (Bucks Tickets item closes THIS Friday!) #WEFEFE2023 https://handbid.app.link/EFE2023
We are NOT happy about our event postponement, but you should be! Take some time today to peruse & BID on our silent auction, which is now open until 3/9/23 at approximately 7:15pm. Please read item descriptions for any exceptions! https://handbid.app.link/EFE2023 #EFE2023Take2
We have made the difficult decision to postpone our Evening for Education event, which was scheduled for Thursday, 2/16/23. As you all know, the weather forecast for Thursday is not good and has resulted in both business and school closures throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. While storm models seem to be varying, it is anticipated that we could get a significant amount of snowfall, coupled with strong winds.
However, our decision to postpone was not only made only by considering the weather. We lost most of our volunteers (who were mostly students) and all of our entertainment for the evening. We have already had many calls and cancellations. When students perform at such events, it is considered an extracurricular activity, and the liability we were assuming by having these kids drive here in horrible weather was also not worth having them here. Their safety, and the safety of our guests, is most important.
But, we have good news. We have rescheduled the event for Thursday, March 9, same time and place, and our silent auction will remain open for bidding up until the new date's deadline.

For the first 15 years of our existence, the WEF was run by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors. In 2018, we took a big step and hired a part time Executive Director; our first paid staff member. Today, we take another big step. We are thrilled to welcome Amber Williams to our team. Amber currently works at STEM-Randall Campus (and will still do so, don't worry STEM families!) and is looking forward to joining us as well. Amber is going to be providing administrative & event support to our organization and we can't wait to see what a tremendous impact she will make! Welcome Amber! We are glad you're here!
